I agree, but I do think that there are too many times (not saying it's just The Show forum, or even exclusively an OS problem...just the nature of the interwebs and all that) where how criticism is received is based on "rep" more than context.

I've seen people list a gripe and be jumped on until someone like Knight (just using a name with obvious "cred") agrees with them and then it's suddenly okay.

I think it's important to remember that not everyone who comes on here with a request, gripe, or concern is familiar with the forum, SCEA, etc, so they might not realize some of the sore spots for certain topics...lol.

I'm not saying that applies to you or that you don't already get that CB, btw.

Anyway, more on topic, I'm very pleased with what we've seen so far, and, as usual, I'm sure we've got plenty of more goodies that will be popping up over the coming weeks.

I noticed the same thing as well.

I know, it's not exactly "evidence"...being two plays and all.

But yeah, I'm seeing more realistic ball friction too.

Yeah, like you said somewhere earlier, if they found a balance between 09 and 10, then it should be really good.

Looks like Josh Hamilton got a new stance.

Nice to see they got the World Series banner up at AT&T Park.

Agreed - night games looked so washed out. So glad they added the longer lighting.

Player models have been built from the ground-up, however. So no more T-Rex arms, less boxy shoulders, and weight differentials are accounted for more appropriately (more of a gut for players instead of just stretching them out). I'm sure the lower half had an upgrade as well. Many more player faces are spot on, too.

Also, lighting has received an overhaul as well. You started to point it out a little bit with the weather, and that's just the beginning of it. Transitions seem to work seamlessly around the clock, and as we just saw there is also cloud coverage for night games.

As for the 3D, I think you and I just have different opinions on how we'd like to see it done. I'd like 3D for depth perception, more so as a gimmick than anything else but it will be a pretty looking gimmick. Maybe it will help out while batting, I'm really not sure. I don't really know what would be flying out at our face though, since the cameras aren't really set up for that (except maybe in Matrix-style replays? I don't know).
Good point. I think beyond the user ducking from a bat flying at them or an errant ball there may not be a use for real 3d in my hopes for its use.
