Also, I'm not entirely sure why people seem so excited about being able to call time and step out of the box. Aside from realism, what is the practical purpose of this that really needs to be added? As it stands now the batter already backs out between pitches, etc... Would anyone actually use the option to call time and back out of the box (aside from the first few times for the novelty of it), and if so, why?
I would if it was implemented online.

On a completely unrelated note, I still just love this picture...this game really is beautiful:

Where did you fine that picture?

It's remarkable, the number of features being added this year. Eye-popping.

"Aside from realism" as stated above...exactly the point of my enthusiasm. Realism.
I'm all for realism, but considering how infrequently they happen, I would be just as happy if they were implemented in a random computer-decided fashion that occurs every 1 out of 1,000 or 2,000 pitches or whatever the actual data is.

However, if it's not really a defined, game-slowing amount of time that the user has to stop and pause it won't be so bad, but if you consciously have to come to a stop and wait before throwing, where normally you would have been able to just pitch in previous games, it will drive a lot of people nuts, I'm sure.

Well, I don't really play against other people...

But that does raise the question as to whether or not the CPU will ask for time against a User pitcher.

I don't really disagree with you, but the "computer is cheating" cries would never stop if they ever did anything like that.

On that note though, it would be interesting to know if the CPU itself can ever balk (which certainly would have to be a RNG result, because there's really no other way to control it....)

To piggy back on my last question, this is a good one too.

I am all for anything that is in real baseball to be included in a game. Maybe the chances of having a balk would be tied to ratings also somehow. Still I don't want it happening more than once every 50 games.
