Breaking Down the Bowls With OS, EA and NCAA Football 11

Last week on OS Radio we were happy to be joined by EA Sports' Ben Haumiller to discuss NCAA Football 11. We talked about what goes into making the game, and we got a brief glimpse at the future of the franchise.

Being the college football junkies that we are, yours truly along with Ben and Chris Sanner decided to break down 11 of this year's biggest bowl games and make our expert picks. Of course it would not make much sense to just make these picks and leave it at that -- we are a sports gaming website after all.

So following the radio show I locked myself in my gaming man cave and simulated each and every single one of the games we discussed. How did we stack up against NCAA Football 11's picks? Better yet, how do you think we will have done once the real games are in the books, and the dust has settled on January 10?

These results are not valid because their roster ratings are not accurate. Especially for Cam Newton.

Obviously the NCAA 11 roster ratings aren't accurate, especially for Cam Newton. Perhaps they should do some updating, and play it again...oh wait...never mind, the real world result will be much different!

Take it easy Duck fans, just having a bit of fun. Should be a great game.

I don't see what is so farfetched about a Heisman winner's team getting shredded in the NC. Happened when Chris Leaks UF team pounded Troy Smiths OSU team.

Only one person has Arkansas winning?? Not sure I agree with the expertise here, especially since you have the wrong bowl for Arkansas v Ohio State. Sugar, not Fiesta.

@ the auburn fan:

I've been working on some updated roster ratings. No offense to Alabama fans, but I just don't think that Mark Ingram should be on the same level (99 rating) as Ricky Williams, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson and Herschel Walker.

The only player solidly above a 90 is Cam Newton on mine, and he's a 95, because he actually deserves to be put up there with the top of the top in College Football history.
