Unbelievable the way the guys at SCEA improve this game year in and year out. The only thing I am really hoping for would be the ability to mix and match styles of hitting and pitching. For example: Use analog pitching, but use the buttons and left stick for hitting/total zone hitting. Or any other combination you can think of.

Russell confirmed this earlier in the thread.

Re: MLB 11 The Show First Look

The player models have been redone...the skeleton is different, eliminating the wide shoulder, short arm look. The analog controls can be used or not used for each situation ie analog hitting button fielding. A major upgrade in RTTS to include different types of players by allowing you create a power hitting prospect or speed freak...Improved camera access adding to the great presentation. Tons of online features and yes rain and clouds...I know lag will always be the big issue..whether they can get that right..but off line..barring no major glitches or freezes..this is shaping up to be a very dynamic game..and with little competition this year...huge game

PS. I would have LOVED to have Dan Schulman join the crew but having someone new will at least liven that up a bit.

I really hope pitching motions and batting stances/follow throughs are addressed.

No more Hud? You mean I never have to hear "MAN, he was about ready to go after THAT one TOO!" or here about how well my young pitcher is doing even though I've only faced ONE batter?

I can't believe it!
