I never used to use the in car view until Shift came along, the game is at it's best when inside the car.

Forgot to add, also some great DLC for Shift as well.
Thanks JMD! I'll be picking this up today for the ps3.

I ownded shift and I couln't get into to it. But to be honest I didn't try to get into all that much because of my initial impression of the game. Maybe I will give it another shot.

I've been playing the demo for Shift on the 360, and I'm just kind of bewildered as to how I missed it. Maybe I I just wrote it off as another NFS game that failed to be interesting. Becasue I have pretty much hated all of the NFS game after Porsche Unleashed and High Stakes. And that is a long time.

I like arcade racers that straddle that line of sim. So PGR2 was the first racer I loved after High Stakes. I didn't really care for the feel of PGR 3 and 4. I've been playing Forza 3, which is kind of overkill for me.

But the Shift demo has hooked. I'd have it now, but it will be an easy Christmas gift from the family. That helmet cam is so perfect. As an arcade racer, I never really got into the cockpit views. They look great, but I don't care for the restricted view. But in Shift, it just felt right. The lack of a fixed view, so that the camera bounces with the turns and movement of the car is really immersive. And I find that it feels better than the overhead view. It is so well done.

Hot Pursuit's released got me thinking abut a racer, but it seems to have led me to Shift instead. I never really cared for the Burnout point and boost gameplay which has made its way into Hot Pursuit.

So the plan is now to get Shift and wait for Shift 2. Shift 2 may not be the game, as they are going to lean way more to the sim side. But the rumors are that Slightly Mad are working on a PGR 5 game for the Xbox, so that could be the Holy Grail I am waiting for.

That was pretty sweet. I love that the side view mirror came off. I was just love that helmet cam view and was glad to see you finally switched to it for the majority of the race.

Thanks Broham! Glad you liked that video.

Yeah I drive better from that view...I will do a better video later, without the lag and in a more crisp resolution...Got to overclock my PC to run it faster.
