Exxxxxxcelent! Not so much for the EA part but the fact he worked with Papy and on Heat.
I was a Papyrus tester right from the start with Indycar Racing 1 all the way to NR2003 so I have been around for awhile. Needless to say, EA screwed the pooch on Nascar chasing Papyrus out of Nascar just like they did 2K sports out of the NFL. I still play Nascar Racing 2003, but I remember a time where we had promises about EA's Nascar Sim Racing. Being away from EA is a good thing but I'm not holding out much hope of anything that will finally let me retire NR2003 from Papyrus. Good luck Ed! I'm pulling for you guys to pull this off because it has been a long dry spell since EA mucked things up.

Lucky you! Sounds like a great job!

NR2003 is the standard (gameplay-wise, not presentation, obviously) by which all Nascar games should be held to, IMO.

I tried the Sim Racing demo by EA, and it s*cked badly.

Just think where Papyrus would be with the Nascar series now had EA kept its nose out of it.

this. I agree. it would be cool if there was a career mode were you go through the different divisions in Nascar.

Out of the box, what you are going to get is the 2010 season.
Am I the only one that read this line? By what he is saying there may not even be a career mode. Well that's what I'm taking from it anyways. Yet, maybe someone else know's different. Admittedly, I haven't heard much about this game.

There is a career mode. In part 2 of the interview, I will break down the whole multiplayer, career mode, control schemes....and more!
