NBA 2K11 Hands-On Preview (Retail)

The amount of coverage NBA 2K11 has received here at OS has reached immense levels at this point. Everyone has been so eager to hear about anything and everything related to the game, so we have tried our best to quench the thirst of all of you out there. Regardless, no matter what I write below, it won’t change the fact that the game won’t come out until tomorrow, and that is the only magic elixir that will cure the NBA 2K11 draught that is parching a large majority of users who are visiting this site today.

Nevertheless, here is one last impressions article, only this time, it’s impressions from the retail version of the game.

I COMPLETELY agree about having to hog the ball in Jordan mode. I can't beat it otherwise. If I call plays, they eat too much time on the clock. This must be fixed in the patch. I'll start my franchise mode while I wait for the patch.

Can you shut off fatigue in jordan mode? Maybe if you dont have to bench jordan for a few minutes of the game, it will be easier since its only 8 min QTRs.

Good read. On Nash, Personally, I could see the Suns moving him if they start out terrible and look lottery bound. They are a few years away from contending again and Nash only has a few years left. Ship him to the Lakers for a Ring!

The simmed home/away thing seems quite problematic. This seems like something they could patch hopefully.

I am siked about this game. I wanna see that pick and roll to Hakim Warrick, Warrick can put the ball down hard!! I also want to see how Amare and the Knicks play in this game. Like you said, a lot of teams have different sets and I would like to see a difference in the Knicks then other teams. I'm getting the game at midnight and am happy I have a fighters chance with the Knicks this year.
