I think it sucks to be honest. The gliding is still there, striking seems unresponsive at best, a lot of the animations are TERRIBLE, I think it will become a transition spamming battle just like UFC 2010, doubles from across the cage are ridiculous, I don't quite understand the grappling but I think pressing 1 button to do a transition is absolutely ********, the graphics look like something you would see in the N64 wrestling games.

I think EA should just stop pretending that they make simulation games, it's clear to me that every single title they come out with is arcade style.

That is completely untrue. Japanese crowds go crazy for a good fight just like everyone else. The only difference is they actually know what's going on so you will hear them cheer for takedowns, guard passes, sub attempts etc etc. Watch Fedor vs Hong Man Choi for example.

Sounds like a agenda to me and I never say that

I don't see how some say striking is unresponsive. I love the fast paced attack opportunity you have when you stun someone.

That's in like every fighting game and I hate it. If you get hit hard enough to where they can't move for 2 seconds and you keep on getting hit, you aren't going to recover. I want pure realism. If I'm playing with Scott Smith and I hit someone flush with a hook to the jaw I don't want to see them get stunned, then I hit them again with another flush power punch and that some how wakes them back up.

I'd love to see realistic flash KO's, but not like UFC 2010 where you just spam 3 elbows and they get dropped.

Also, with joint submissions its definitely not a button masher. If you mash the button too fast your stamina is gonna go within 1 second. You have to carefully pace yourself, which is what fighters do in real life. Man this game is amazing.
You rotate in the direction the blue marker is moving to. It constantly switches from clockwise to counter clockwise. And your goal is to be in sync with it.

You can tell by how close you are to it by the size of the circle. the bigger the circle, that means you are in sync and about to escape. The smaller the circle, means you way out of sync and about to get submitted.

Key is to not to spin fast and REALLY pay attention to the blue marker. Because like I said it switches throughout the submission process.
