This questions was already answered. No you can not edit players from classic teams.

My next wonder would be whether we could edit the roster of classic teams then. By that I mean signing, releasing, or trading guys from the team. If this were possible (as it was with the All-Decade teams of year's past) we'd be able to trade Generic Jones for a created version of, say, Bill Walton.
