Wow, we are definitely in it for this year. How could 2k get any better than this?

It all sounds awesome and I cannot wait to try it out! I am tempering my expectations though for the AI logic, it sounds too good to be true.

Re: NBA2K11 Developer Insights: Association

Damn! That was a long read but worthy of my time.

Hopefully, everything from the Insight comes into realization.

I'm glad we can split the MLE this year. Just wondering if they added other exceptions like Veteran's Minimum and Biannual Exception. Perhaps, not since SimBaller didn't mention it but that's no biggie for me. I wonder if they made sure that teams who are under the Salary Cap once the FA signing period comes don't have MLE's because that's what's happening in real life (See 2010 Miami Heat).

And by the way, nice touch on the NBA.com's interface.

And I remember coolcras mentioning about 2K confirming the ability to sync roster files with the Association but SimBaller didn't mention it. That means coolcras got a wrong info, correct?

Must buy!!
"As the user, you have the ability to stop the draft at any point to try and trade for the current pick (CPU teams will be offering you as well during the draft)."

Re: NBA2K11 Developer Insights: Association

this is gonna be the nfl 2k5 of basketball, lets do a recap

*basically fixed every gripe with 2k10
*revamped(fixed) controls
*added a freakin micheal jordan mode
*all-new myplayer mode
*fixed all the problems in association while adding alot
*new playcalling system
*better presentation across the board
*extremely intelligent AI
*listened to the community(to me the most important)

all thats left to make it a full sweep is the online(i dont play as much). Which they said they were working on and testing stability a few weeks ago

Already a guaranteed buy by me, but I can't be too hyped up for the association improvements until I see them in action. Wish they would simulate a couple of seasons and show us all the player/team stats, rookies, transactions, signings, injuries, etc., but that's probably asking for a bit much.

Re: NBA2K11 Developer Insights: Association

looks great

I love the slight change to the NBA today screen in Association.

They didn't say this but i assume it's still in there but can we still control all of the teams in an association like we could last year?

Re: NBA2K11 Developer Insights: Association

Wow. Just Wow. This game has the potential to be THE best sports game to ever hit the market. The new AI logic has me drooling. And not to mention this being confirmed: -

Classic Teams:
I’ve seen so much discussion on this in the forums despite us previously confirming this. Yes, you absolutely can take our classic teams into Association. This means you can bring any of Jordan’s Bulls into the league. Equally as fun I have found is to bring in the Malone/Stockton Jazz and the Ewing Knicks alongside the Jordan teams. It’s an interesting wrinkle to the Association formula that people in the office have been enjoying for months now!

C-A-N-N-O-T WAIT!
