After three games and watching my son play a few to me it just seems like the game doesn't have enough strengths to justify its weaknesses. The game let me advance in the block tutorial by hacking Durant. I got no ball and it was like "god job". Blocking and contesting shots has no rhyme or reason and the shooting is ridiculous. I'm playing on Allstar and I dont need to do anything special to score. Just give it to a decent shooter and shoot.

I could care less about graphics. CH 2k8 was my fave sports game this gen and its graphics are mediocre but it makes me wonder what did they get when they traded graphics for gameplay. And the animations... The animations are so bad they kill the immersion which affects the gameplay.

I'm in the camp that belives this game should not be released. If I was an exec with enough power I would pull the game. Even though there was a lot more put into ELITE and I think its a better game than Live 07 I say pull it. I can see myself having fun when I get the feel of the game down yet I can see this game hurting the brand just a much as Live 07 because most people are less open minded than me and unlike the last two years the comp really has its act together this year.

Would you really though ? EA probably invested a lot of money ( and time ) into the game. I would think as an exec. you'd let it collect at this point.

They will sell very little by name, but with horrible reviews and losing some hardcore fans, plus casuals. Theres nothing to justify the gameplay, because everything looks great on paper but doesnt always translate very well. My model at my business is YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY. If your where promised everything being totally fresh and its not. The tards who actually buy this and become disappointed wont be back next year. SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND ADMIT YOU MESSED UP, TAKE 6 months or another year and release your product. Watched the vid, played the demo for a couple of hours and its barely worth a DVDDL download.

Yes, no question about it. I would hold it for next year kinda like NHL 2k. All the money they paid Durant, all the preorders, and the advertisements arent as costly as another Live 07. Live 10 sold close to a million less than 07 because of 07. Gamers have a fanboyish streak. You have to really club them before they turn on you. Even though ELITE is a fundamentally better game than Live 07 I suspect its going to be received the same way because gamers are resistant to change and the change (controls) are arguably the best thing it has going for it.
