Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)

Here's my demo rant.

I find it really obnoxious that they have the ability to run plays, but disabled them. That's the main thing--the only thing, really--that I wanted to try out with this demo, is running plays. And yes, I've seen that there's some kind of workaround, but I can't get it to work for me.

I just don't understand why you would disable a crucial feature that would tell us a lot about the game. It's not like anyone would just be happy with the demo and not buy the retail if they included the ability to run plays. But as a demo, it's completely worthless for me personally, because I can't tell anything about this game from just freestyling around aimlessly.

I bought Live the last two years, and I have really high hopes for 2K11, but honestly this whole thing really soured me on the game. I don't want to buy the game and take the chance that the playcalling system isn't what I want it to be, because for me it's a obviously a big deal. I might just skip it this year.

Had to get that off my chest.

Forget about the score, just pay attention at 4:01...I'm still not sure if Kobe made the basket or it was Bynum. Looks real!

By the way, is it all these videos or Rondo really has red hair?

LOL. Nothing in my statement implied anything beyond my perception. Keywords being "my", not everyone - like yours.

What gets old is you're taking potshots at everything VC does. Especially MLB which I DON'T stick up for. So how accurate is that statement? I'm one of the few people that don't think every issue you see in a game is caused by some gross negligence. You seem to be the total opposite.

If it isn't negligence, then why does the game look worse on PS3 then ? Majority has said that.

And I don't take potshots at everything VC does. They're not potshots when I do speak about them and I don't criticize everything they do. That's an exaggeration.

One thing I love about the game is that you can actually make jumpshots now. It has to do with the spacing which has already been touched on. In 2k10, you could be "open" but if the guy was next you, you'd just miss it. Now, with this new spacing thing, you can make mid range and 3s because the spacing is more in tune with the game flow. I'm loving it!

That's not a 2K/VC-specific issue. I own both a 360 & PS3 and I know going in that many cross-platform games are developed with the 360 as the lead sku and may not look as good on one system as the other. You're reaching with trying to imply negligence.
