The movements, contact and overall feel of this game is really mind boggling. I liked 2k10 but I felt the movements needed polish. In 2k11, they have exceeded my expectations.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this game feels and the responsiveness of the controls are truly amazing. 2k has set the bar really high with the gameplay of this title. It looks like the presentation and features will beast as well.

2k has always been about feeling and animations. And 2k11 is going to be hard to top. The game plays so silky smooth. Wow!!! What a great game. I may have to take some vacation time the week of the 5th.

Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)

after some more time with the demo, i have to take back some of the stuff i said. a lot of my problems were related to not being used to the controls. i realized that shot blocking is very much controlled by which direction you move the left stick when you jump...you really have to aim yourself directly towards the shooter or you player won't jump towards him. once i understood this, it made me appreciate it more...but there are still a couple funky blocking animations (there is a bad hovering block animation when defending jump shots where the player will put one hand out and hover in the air as if in slow motion), and the block animations are a tad bit slow, but it's not enough to ruin it for me. once i got a better feel for the controls, things started to work better.

I do still have a problem with the success rate of turn around jumpers out of the post position...these seem to go in at about an 80 percent rate, even with a hand right in the face. there really seems to be no way to defend these types of shots.

Default: Kind of a hyper-realism. Shooting %’s will be slightly higher than real life, there will be fewer fouls, slightly more dunks, more and 1’s, etc. “Let ‘em play hoops” so to speak.

Anybody here that ESPN has said that NBA 2K11 will be the game of the year? Pretty funny considering that they are featured in NBA Elite 11.

Dude it's just a 4 minute demo. But try using turbo while timing your block attempt right. It helps a little. You will find that 2k is all about momentum and 4 minutes is too small of a sample size to BE ALL CONCERNED.

It really annoys me that they don't let you use 2k cam in the demo.

The demo is on default gamestyle and pro difficulty. Both factors contribute to the high shooting percentages. I barely miss shots.

Is it just me or is the new hard foul mechanic (RT+RS) they put in the game just like an intentional foul ? I though it would be like a hard push or shove but its just does the same thing an intentional foul does
