Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)

Been playing this all most the entire day. Downloaded it on both systems. I love some of the new animations when a pass is low or off a little, which makes the player have to reverse course and regain momentum. Starting to get the hang of the controls. I went back and played a My Player game in 2k10 and when I came back to 11, it was night and day. The responsiveness is really obvious when you go back and play 2k10.

Like many have said, I wish I could play with the Celtics too. But Kobe is a monster. I just love backing down Ray and shooting the fadeaway. That animation is so smooth. And the leaning jumpers are SO responsive. I can pull those off at will. Step-back is sick too. All in all, exactly what I expected. And the great thing is this is as barebones a demo as I've ever seen -- EVER -- and it still impressed me.

But I wish 2k would add more to their demos. There will be many people who never heard of Operation Sports trying out the demo because of MJ and if this is all they see, it might turn them off. No biggie for us because we're hooked. But if 2k really wants to impress the masses, please flesh out the demo next year.

And I don't know what the record is for most post in a thread, but this one has to be up there. All in 24-hour period too. YIKES.

Visuals seem tight... until the camera pans in during post whistle (where Bynum appears to be father time, Artest is as creepy looking as you can get and the facial gestures seem to stretch and break everyones face). Presentation is well done with good commentary and sharp overlays. The ball is strange looking though as it appears to be glowing which keeps catching my eye in a bad way (maybe it is stadium specific) ?

Still bad sliding/twitching/popping during locomotion but show me a basketball game without it. Still suction and unresponsiveness during jostles/collisions but it seems improved.

All-in-all, it plays alright but I was hoping for a something big (maybe as big as the cover boy )
Somebody please ban this guy, its not right to enter these forums with an agenda to sway gamers to believing this BS, if people get banned for small things, this dude should be gone.

Nope. The guy obviously didn't even play the demo or didn't see a demo vid at least.

Naw, dude said there was commentary in the demo, you can tell by the rest of the things he said that he has not even played the game, he had an agenda to show some type of negativity. Maybe im wrong though, but I doubt someone would make a mistake and speak about the commentary if it was never there to begin with.

You have to understand that this is a demo. It has features which have been turned off, and that probably includes animations, presentation and such. You are not playing a full game and you are not playing a finished product. The demo is just there to let you get a feel of what the game is like, not how the actual game is.
