I'm glad everybody is enjoying the demo...looks like a good year for bball fans.

Too bad I can't dl the demo for some reason.
I live in Belgium, the demo is nowhere to be found on xbox marketplace, and when I try to download it through xbox.com, it asks for a prepaid code, even though I'm a gold member (since 2003 ffs)....So now I can't really figure out what to do....except read your impressions I guess :-(

I only played about 4 games this morning so I hope that is it. I don't use turbo except after making a move, but I will admit that getting used to the new controls could play a factor.

I'm loving every second of this ! You actually feel in control of the players! I just made a nice up and under layup with kobe and it felt good.
The crowd noise and atmosphere is great! feels like college basketball atmosphere!
There's players making explosive cuts around the court , guys running hard on fastbreaks...guys shooting with a sense of urgency

That's fair. Not allowing you to call plays and other missing functions does water it down quite a bit. I think you have to adjust how you play to account for momentum. That's seems to be the common thread on that. I say give it some time and you'll see what others have been liking. It's like Czar said - use the feathering.

It comes down to this simply: Speed for quickness. If you want to change directions, you can't go top speed. If you want speed, you can't turn on a dime. It's like the human body exactly.

Da_Czar's tip right off the bat helped turn my dribbling game around.. FEATHER the stick. dont go all out everytime in any and all directions. Light fingers yields the best results.. Think back to video game football games when holes open up. Lay off the turbo until the time is right.. The 2k11 controls video shows almost NO use of the Right Trigger when pulling off the crossovers, hesitations, size ups, and spin moves. so why go back to old habits?

Is anybody having success with the hard foul mechanic? All I seem to be doing is intentionally fouling. The controls say RS + RT.

Played the demo about 5 times this morning before work. Had a heavy feel like Pared said, but I enjoyed the experience. Hard for me to judge the game without the 2K cam, but you can easily notice the new amount of detail added to every aspect of the game.

Can't wait to try out the CP3s and D Wills of the game, Rondo was much quicker than Fisher, so that showed me that quickness matters this time around. Rondo gave me fits. I loved the fact that Fisher couldn't catch up to Rondo on the fast break.

The double teams will be great to use now, I can choose where I want them to come. This will really pay off to stop the dominant scores!
