I'm not sure. All the ones I did see were actual injuries. But I didn't see a whole lot of them so I will be interested to see that myself.

I remember Dirk hit the floor in a gameplay vid. There was no foul or injury.

Another thing I'm diggin is the fluidity when passing out of a contact animation. 4:25 is an excellent example.
