single scenes of videos dont tell anything about the overall package.
First off healthy skepticism is a great thing. There were a good amount of people myself included there were not that excited about the gameplay in the combine. Same glaring issues where there The last time there was this amount of anticipation and expectation from the 2k forum as a whole was 2k7 closest to that was 2k8. So I disagree that there was this type of momentum last year. Could be wrong of course but I disagree.

ALso there were "these" types of videos for 2k last year that I recall. All that said the forum is about a balance. YOur bringing healthy skepticism and that is great for that balance. However just like others have said that doesn't negate the few things that can be clearly seen especially in comparison with the 2k10 footage.

Make no mistake these aren't 2k11 is flawless videos. They are just highlighting some of the improvements that I noticed but I always leave the caveat of I didn't play for real extended amount of time. No matter what I show skeptics will always be able to say well you can't tell about " " from him just showing " ".

If I show all transition there is no half court game. I I show halfcourt there is no tansition game... LOL etc etc. so just take em for what they are man. Information to tide you over.

Also don't forget i know these guys. If i start making stuff up I know they will have the game in 3 weeks and will let me know about it. ROTFLOL. That would just be foolish.

Thanks for the vid, Czar. I am salivating at the depth of this game. The improved movement alone is a great step up from last year, let alone the authentic play sets and improved playcalling mechanics. I am in awe of the dev team. Wow!

never mind - suit yourself

i hope it will be as good as presented, but i don't expect it.

btw i can make u also a vid of 2k10 showing u how great the defense is, just need 10h of footage and cut it to the few good things of the game :P

just to give u something to think about to "i have eyes" - u see what i choose to show you :>
Not everyone has your half-empty view on life. Some of us prefer to view half-full. So just as you have eyes, so do we. For the life of me, I don't understand why when people have a different opinion of something they can't just say "this is my opinion" and back it with substance instead of half-cocked conspiracy theories.

No where in any of the videos does the Czar say shooting percentages are on point, the baseline can't be abused, or any of the other number of issues that have plagued 2k over the years. What he does show is an obviously improved play calling system. There is so much more fluidity to running an offense, compared to 2k10, and that can not be denied. Czar has also said, "its still 2k" which leads me to believe that there are some issues that still are there.

All I am saying, is if there are issues that bothered you about 2k, ask about it. Beluba, Ronnie, Zak are all pretty straightforward about their game and if you feel that you need impartiality, ask Czar, instead of saying everyone else is blinded. I assure you, we all are not.

Like Czar said, the thread needs a healthy dose of balance. If that means some skepticism or negativity, that's cool. The only things I disagree with about your posts are:

1. Before 2k10 came out, there was a lot of talk about it's improvements from 2K9. At NO point can you deny that it did not address many of those issue to an acceptable level. Popular opinion suggests that the game was pretty damned good. But the way you make it sound, it was absolute trash and that you were fed a bunch of lies before it was released. And that, I say, is total bull. Was it perfect? No. Was it great? For some people that are tolerant for, or oblivious to, some of the issues it had - it was the GOAT. For you, it may not have been great. But it was a game that got plenty of playtime and many enjoyable moments.

2. You talking as if people are only showing you what they think you want to see. Well, a few FULL length, uncut videos of gameplay have been out there for a while now. And in all of those videos, can you honestly sit there and say that you haven't seen enough to convince that significant progress has been? Seriously? That's why people say they have "eyes". Use yours and answer those doubts you have. It's hard for them to hide problems with all of the videos that have been out.

Gameplay looks real clean. There's not much I don't like after watching these first two vids.
