2K said that some players have specific plays for them so that if they switch teams the play for them goes with them to the new team.

By Play systems I simply meant teams like the thunder get everyone involved in one or two MAIN sets. W regardless of where they go with the ball that thunder stack is a main staple. ( in real life of course teams run between 100-500 plus plays over the course of a season so they run more than what you see in this game) however in video game form it gives them a base to work out of.

Other teams in real life run a lot of plays out of a lot of sets... Like the hawks run some of the utah stuff some floppy so they don;t have a defined "system" that they play out of.

The triangle would be another case of defined set's. Again that is just my interpretation of what I was seeing from team to team.

It appears that they tried to concentrate on plays / sets that separates each team. In the NBA there are plenty of teams who run similar stuff its just not their staple plays. From that standpoint 2k clearly decided to focus this upgrade on what teams mainly do different.


As for the 10 teams I don't foresee much interest once guys actually have the demo In fact youtube should be flooded with video content once the demo drops so I just don't want to duplicate any effort. We'll see though.

Plus after 5 shows I think the point will be pretty much driven home..LOL each team plays different.

Thanks, man. "Play system" is pretty clear to me now.

As for the 10 team vids, I think no demo footage can compare to the clarity of presentation of play calling system of your videos. Heck, I even doubt if those demo footages which will surface show some plays (ok, maybe two or three) but your videos are truly invaluable. But still, it's still your call, fam.

If we would only have 5 team vids, that would be still golden to our eyes here in Sim Nation. More power to you, man.

i'm just wondering:

the entire community is freaking out after those videos, as same as we all did after the DC and 2k10 videos last year. every1 said this will be GOAT etc. etc.

and what was it at the end ?
a half sim half arcade kind of mixed crap with lots of bugs, dunkfests, dozens of AND-1s and horrible AI.
just asking myself how ppl can already be so optimistic after last years disappointment. i wont belief a thing of 2Ks PR-Marketing until i've got the full game and it shows me some real AI and serious gameplay improvements while im playing.

just sayin ....

Have to agree, Czar vids are so many hundred miles ahead of ANY other gameplay vid that you worrying about duplicating should not even come into question.

its like saying the Coen brothers dont want to put out a film about gambling because a student from a junior college made something similar. (you are the coen bros in this example of course )

The guy on the Mic in the theme song is Excelent. you dont hear that type of talent on the radio anymore. Mic skillz at its best
