In 2k11 do you notice elite defenders? With Artest on somebody like Durant do you see him not let him get open as often, and are defensive match-ups much more important this year? I see TP fly by Oden, but I want to make sure this would happen basically every time.

BTW, great video and I am going to love having the CPU pick a play for me each time down the floor. How the Spurs utilize Parker, Ginobli, and Duncan was great to watch. Also, that was vintage McDyess with that baseline jumper, and penetration and kick outs seem way better. Can't wait for tomorrow's video and the demo. This game is beautiful.
Ray for me I need to get this game in the Czar cave to be absolutely certain. When you playing and capturing and thinking of all the questions the community might ask you everything isn't as apparent when you just playing for fun...

I can say from the captures and my time with the game it "appears" that is the case. Definitely in an off ball situation. you almost have to know where Kobe and artest and pippen are in those passing lanes. I haven't went up against them in a one on one setting often enough to be 100 % certain.

Having said that you saw what I did to sundiata... LOL and you saw what Bell did to me. So I would just like more hands on time with the game looking for that to be certain.

What skill level was this on Czar? Are you finding the game easy at all with the new spacing? In the past it seemed like they didnt have a lot of the spacing because it was hard to program into the game.. ie how to tell a player to not completely guard someone else.
I am not finding the game easy at all. I am finding it simplified because its starting to do more real basketball plays. However those defensive rotations are doing a good job of mixing it up so you don't see the same look all the time. So the difficulty is in making the right read and then being smart with my double teams. If you have a bad matchup though the cpu will actually run plays at it not just run Iso's so in that regard it's tuff cause they find a pressure spot and keep going at it until you can stop it.

Again take that with salt because of the limited play time and capturing and all that but that was how I felt.

With learning controls and everything else that is one of the things I didn't spend a log of time on was making those adjustment prez

I didn't try I think it would but the cpu does a descent job in working with you so even if it breaks the play there is a chance you may be able to do that. I know their play development is now important to them so I would expect theme to continue to improve and refine the system.

THIS... thanks kid...

I particularly just stick to one squad with 2K in all the modes, but with all the different reads and sets, I'm really excited to give some other teams a go this year. With that in mind, and maybe for those who don't have a habit of running a set offense, how difficult of a learning curve are we looking at? It seems that you had a pretty firm grasp on not only the playing style, but also the reads and options off the sets. Would you expect some players being a little overwhelmed by it all?
Nines quote below really sums it up. The plays seem to be based on fundamental high efficiency hoops. So some people won't need much time at all. And although the plays come out of different sets there is similar action so I don't think even a new person to the game will have a long time to really be effective with the plays.

I mean Rob Jones himself said he never ran plays and now he does. Its a completely different experience which is what I tried to relate in the videos.

Czar, while you're here let me ask a question I already poster in the OKC vid thread.

You said "Most teams have play systems", what do you basically mean by "play systems"?

and is it true that you are going to make it a 5 teams in 5 day series because of the early demo release? Please don't let it be but if it's what you really feel, I fully respect your decision.

I'm getting really excited about running plays in My Player mode! Running plays in My Player mode wasn't alot of fun cause it just felt like you were running to one spot to another and then another.
This year, having the team run plays for My Player is gonna be alot of fun!

I realize this will likely not be a thing you can test, but anyway : Can you change a cpu teams default plays ? And the bonus question : Can you do it during association mode ?

No sense in the Suns running all sorts of pick and rolls 2 years into association with Nash retired, Dragic maybe signing elsewhere and a 70 rated rookie PG thatīs score first running the show.
