2K has gotten my money this year, I have not purchased an NBA title since NBA 2k4. I am extremely excited even though I am more of a college hoops fan.

Maybe i'm the minority but I would love to see a game based solely on classic teams from the leagues history. I don't think this can happen, but just imagine being able to play with best teams from every year of the leagues existence. Any who, good write up, but I think your goals need more definition to them.

Re: The Franchise Man: Imagining the Possibilities of a Magic/Bird Cover

19th to post.

Just kidding.

I really don't think they can top MJ as the cover man, current or classic. The whole legend thing is nice for a while but IMO they should go back to current players, before people are lead to believe that it's just a legends type game (yeah, they would have to be really dense and casual gamers but still).

If they really want to beast it I say go for the big 3 in Miami, no matter how much it pains me to say as a Cavs fan.

Re: The Franchise Man: Imagining the Possibilities of a Magic/Bird Cover

I would like it specially since i've been a Celtic fan since back when Bird was there. I was wondering where they would go and how it will turn out after this year. Of course i cant wait to enjoy this year but still...want more classic players and teams

I had a similar thought about a Dream Team for 2k12....with it being the 20th Anniversary, it would be perfect.

Possibly Barkley on the cover, but even he couldn't top MJ. Barkley challenge - shoot under 90 on the front 9.

Re: The Franchise Man: Imagining the Possibilities of a Magic/Bird Cover

A cover with Bird and Magic on the front would be amazing to see for the cover of 2K12, those two are the next best thing next to MJ, talk about throwing household names onto a cover, can't get any higher than Magic and Bird. Jordan, Magic, and Bird are probably the biggest names in the sport of basketball, and if you have any knowledge of the game no matter how limited, I am pretty sure you have heard about Magic and Bird especially after seeing the Lakers vs Celtics in the NBA Finals the last 2 out of 3 years. I would welcome this cover just as much as the M.J. cover we got this year but only if they add Magic and Bird on the front, not one or the other...this is where the classic cover boys should stop though if they do it
