Some notes off the top of my head:
-Physics engine looks very inconsistent. At times the interaction between players looks fluid and realistic, but other times, wades dunk around 1:02, a player will get dunked on as if he wasn't even there.

-The player movement needs some work, players are a little to stiff in there movements, not to mention the sliding/skating.

-Can someone tell me how that vince carter hopstep isn't a travel? I don't know the rules for hopsteps but that looked more like a jump than a hop to me. I do have to say that his pump fake right before the hopstep looked really good.

-Inside bounce passes get through way to easy. Reminds me of the lead pass problem of 2k.

-I really like the crowd noise and playoff atmosphere. That plus the addition of the ESPN crew really makes it feel like a playoff game on TV.

-A lot of people saying that this game is too fast paced and arcadey, which i agree, but sliders could correct this problem.

I think EA put themselves in a tough position with all their hype and talk about the physics engine. People were expecting this game to be leaps and bounds better than Live 10 and it's arguable which direction Elite 11 is going. This being the first year of a rebuilding process I think people were expecting a little to much out of EA. In a couple years the changes that have been put in place could result in a great game but right now EA still has some kinks to work out.

With all the patches and updates developers can do to games this could be a very different game in a couple of months. I remember reading a preview for this game in June and the article mentioned how quickly some problems could be fixed with the new engine. Perhaps there could be a Backbreaker 'Great House' like patch that can fix many issues and also add something to the game.
Im not making an excuse for elite but the majority of travels do not get called in the nba. Thats just one of those things players get away with in the nba like when wr push off going for a ball in the nfl. It gets called but all to often it does not.

But i would like for it to be called often in elite. There was also alot of travling in live 10 but i think that was because of the canned animations

First & last time i'll post on these types of comments, but every sports game has a plan for the future. If you wait to buy 2K or Madden or NHL or The Show for 3 years, you'd find much better games across the board.

Looks pretty easy to do a bounce pass into traffic. Guys are threading the needle left and right.

What happened to kicked ball violations?

Yeah, the wade drive and dunk should have had a huge collison with both guys going flying. That warp and push has been in basketball games for way too long.

The game doesn't have injuries so that's out, but there should be some rim checking and trips to the line instead.

And the more I watch Lebron and Wade and Carter handle the ball exactly the same, the uglier it is. Not to mention the stepbacks that looked so good in Live 10 are now just ugly.

And I agree, I want it to look and feel like I'm controlling a different player/team.
The injuries are the same as in Live 10, so no in-game injuries. They only occur through simming in a dynasty/season.

I think a sigged out version of Elite's ballhandling would be the best in any basketball game. I knew we wouldn't get that this year but I expected more than just Big/Small.

Love the vids.

Found it interesting though that they released a vid using a camera in front of a tv...

From David Littman:
"Hey guys...we will be putting out more and more videos as we drive to finish the game. Next week's videos will be direct capture, because these videos look a bit fast when just filmed with a camera in front of a TV."

@ scottyp, the Vince Carter hopstep is legal, he picks up his dribble so you get two steps, the hop step is just landing on both feet for your second step. Carter lands on both feet, then goes straight up into the dunk. I think the animation is a bit long and the player (Carter in this case) gets too much air which does make it look a bit funny.

I also think if you choose to dunk after a hop step gather, there needs to be a specific library of dunks for that. Same with the other gathers.
