Thanks Jano. That could explain it. While the control looks solid, the movement looks floaty as if they are elevated off the floor and not grounded at all. Still playing demo...

Ok... this looks a lot better than the other latest vids. Looking forward to the demo again... The post pivot seems to be exhibiting some of that control that they've been promoting. Looks Good!

How do you go back to the same thing your last generation of games where criticized most about? It doesn't make sense. All about control? Control IMO was never a problem in Live. And Live 10 was my game of choice last yr. Enhancements in control and very little improvement in other areas doesnt warrant a $60 purchase as the game wont have much longevity as i will be seeing Live 10 w/ more control and live 09 things added back in.

The 2 best NBA Live's of all time were NBA Live '05, and NBA Live '10

Im seeing a lot of both those things in NBA Elite.

I dunno, I guess I'm viewing this game from a different perspective then most, or age is mellowing me lol...

Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not happy. I'd much prefer to get Elite 11 than 2K, but I don't think I can. Alley oops were going in easily, I hate that cheesy shi. Dribbling looks great, but movement looks like ice skating. THE PLAYERS LOOK BAD, THEY DON'T EVEN LOOK HUMAN. Dribbling and posting up looks liek the best two things about this game. So you'll have fun with the ball in your hands and posting up, but what about the rest of it?

I just rented Live 10 for the second time, and I'm liking it a lot for some reason. I was whacky I bought live immediately traded it straight up for 2K, liked 2K, but didn't love it in the end, now I wented Live 10, and said wtf did I miss? Now I like it? I think I got 2K cuz my boy was on the cover subliminal messages won me over.

Live 10 has some poor AI, particularly charges that just aren't called, as well the three is easier to hit than a mid range shot. If you can play a semi sim baller online it's a blast game. Now I might just get 2K11 and miss out on NBA Jam, because Elite 11 is just a big dissapointment. Cool dribbling, cool post up, and NBA JAm is not enough to get me to buy this game.

Whatever they are saying, it's so hard to believe they won't give and make NBA Jam available to the masses eventually, after a month I'd say, that's when sales of these two bball titles drop off.

I'd be pissed if I bought Elite 11 and then they made NBA Jam available to the masses. I want a promise then maybe I'd consider Elite 11. That's how much I want my favorite arcade game of all time. I just don't trust that they'd never release NBA Jam seperately.

What Elite 11 owners should do is sell NBA Jam code for $20-$25. I'd bet it would sell like hotcakes incomplete gme or not.

Did you play NBA Live 2005 for PC? I did, and I agree that was my favorite bball game ever. Defense was so awesome. I played in awesome online leagues, games would be so hard to get off clean shots because the defense was so amazing on both sides, truly a blast game. I liked 2006 as well I dominated on both titles, that's the last time I dominated online for any game, those two years, I've sucked ever since. Because you couldn't cheese in those titles. That's what I do best, passs first, find the open man, push it on a real fast break and stay in front of my man on D, and don't panic, but so much cheese inthese games now, everyone abuses one exploit or another.

Re: NBA Elite 11 OS Exclusive Video: New Orleans Hornets @ Los Angeles Clippers

At this point I can't make a $60 decision based on videos. I make that decision based on the demos.

Looks are not the end all for me. Control and gameplay is the biggest factor first. Then comes the franchise mode, then the window dressing (graphics).

I can tolerate lesser graphics for great gameplay and deep franchise. So Elite will have to really dazzle me with control and gameplay because they are pretty behind the 8 ball on the other 2 aspects.

Live 2005 and 2006 were the last great NBA B-Ball games I have played. Did not find 2K9 all that (control and AI were average at best). I have not purchased any Live titles on PS3 yet. I heard and read 2010 was very strong but held off and then starting getting wind of 2K11 and Live redesigning their controls.

So the wait for the demo's continues.
