Why can't you show off physics in a user vs user game? If the physics are supposed to affect all movement and collisions on the court then it has nothing to do with who is playing. I don't see how scenarios are going to play out like they do in real life when you have players with 15 feet verticals warping through the defense for dunks or guys sliding everywhere while moving with the ball.

Why do you guys think it was an OS exclusive????

It's pretty obvious they played they way they did cause they thought the "sim heads" of OS would appreciate that style of gameplay.

Not saying I liked the way they played the game, but that seems like a reasonable excuse.

I would of liked a more aggressive offense and defense. But the quick plays IMO was the highlight of the video.

I agree with you completely. I also would've rather seen user vs. ai. I think once we see the computer play that is when we will see what type of game that we have.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I've watched the video atleast 10 times to find something positive but I can't. The gameplay is stale and it plays identical to Live 10.

1) I didnt like the pace of the game, thought it was too slow compared to the other vids.

2) Commentary sounds boring but i guess thats because this is the first time those guys are doing it so i expect next year to be a lot better.
Also the begging cutscene with the guys warming up is the same as last year... didnt the community guys make some suggestions to EA concerning improving presentation?

3) Gameplay, rebounding, dribbling and animations from what iv seen so far looked smoother and better than live 10.

Re: NBA Elite 11 OS Exclusive Video: Milwaukee Bucks @ New York Knicks

OK I'm going to break this down into points that I liked and disliked as I notice them. I've watched the vid 3 times before even beginning and on this 4th time, I'll notate things that liked and didn't like. I also haven't read anything in this thread before posting.

1. The game looked paced a lot better than the Venice Beach videos. I'm not really sure what we were seeing in the capture, but this looks like a much slower, realistically paced game.

2. It can easily, be seen that you have a lot of control as a ball handler. The one-to-one movements look exactly what I liked about Live 10.

3. i especially like the off-ball movement by the computer. It seemed very lifelike and realistic to have the players constantly moving around the court, trying to get open.

4. The look of the MSG in the intro is very nice. It looks realistic and gets you hyped up for the game, as it should.

5. All of the announcers sound dead and uninterested. There needs to be a bit more coaching of these guys to sound more similar to what they do on TV.

6. The interaction of the players on picks, annoys me. There doesn't seem to be a realistic interaction as players set the picks.

7. At 1:30, again, the layup animation by Jennings is just ugly. I just don't see Brandon laying it up with his right hand on the left side, and he sort of "mini" rocket layups to basket. It just doesn't look nice.

8. 1:45, loved the play for Gallinari. It was well run. Its nice to see the play develop and a player get rewarded for good play.

9. 2 I'm sounding like a broken record, but I'm not sure what the Salmons drive was supposed to be. I'm guessing that the RTP kicked in, but it made him throw up a reverse, airballed, no look layup? I didn't like that AT ALL. I'm sure fouls were turned off to optimize the amount of game play that could be shown in a five minute clip. So with that little caveat, I guess I can live with it.

10. 2:25: Gallanari is not bringing the ball up the court with through the legs and behind the back dribbles. I think that will be one of the things that bothers me the most about this new direction for Live. Although total control is good, I just don't like seeing guys doing things in the game, that they wouldn't do in an NBA game (i'm sure they all can perform these moves, if you saw them on the playground).

11. 2:53: I didn't like the hopstep by Jennings. It looks like he just hopsteps around/through the the defender completely unnaturally. That looks like something that could be abused in the game.

12. 3:13: I LOVED the post move by Gallanari. It was seemless and the contact under the hoop looked VERY nice.

13. 3:45: I really liked how Bogut tried to defend baseline and slipped on the over-pursuit. Those are the little things that need to continue popping up for Elite to maintain competition.

14. I'm just noticing, I know its early, but the crowd doesn't seem very lifelike. There's some atmosphere missing here.

15. 3:50: On Amare's postup there was sound and Amare's body signaling contact, but no RTP involving Bogut. He's just standing there unfazed. Didn't like that.

16. 4:14: Maggette's dunk looked real nice.

Definitely a video that EA needed to show. I like what I'm seeing from a control standpoint, however, personally, I need more authentic NBA. Right now, I see a game that could be a nice overall basketball game, but doesn't really feel like an NBA game. I'm still reserving final judgment for the demo, but I just don't see spending a full $60 on this game yet. I'd probably buy it used, although paying $10 to play online isn't too appealing either.

The game controls look good, especially the post game. But TO ME, despite the NBA logo, arena, player names, etc., the game still comes off as a generic brand of basketball.
