One thing the live series and it looks like elite will do the same is that if its a player that is not a big name player or is a scrub then they will have some generic face. Raymond felton face was screwed up lol

Guy- in that demo there was no crossovers present like they did them but he never broke the defender it was as if it was on purpose they never crossed eachother there was a defensive mis match and salmons was left open and then one where jennings was left open,..half your post is irrelevent..did you watch the video?

It seems like good d will really stop an offense. Every time somebody was bodied up in the video they were stopped and had to change direction.

Not impressed with this video at all. Like most people here so far I'm not liking what I see at all. Let's see how the demo plays.

Its not as bad as some make it seem. I liked it. Some people are too nit picky. THEY DONT BEND THEIR KNEES WHEN THEY JUMP. WTF. Who even notices that in any video game. Its like you are looking for things to talk s**t about. I cant believe people are even comparing the graphics of elite to old games like live 09. Go back and play that then look at the video then comment again.

Like havok said you are watching a video so you can look at everything and point out things. Yea there is no pausing and rewinding but you are no controlling anyone so you are not focusing on playing and can look at everything that is going on. If you are playing it you are mostly focused on the person with the ball so half the things yall are talking bout you wont see.

The fact that the game is smooth, fluid and you can do what ever you want with the ball is good enough for me. yea the player models and other lil things might be the same from live but elite is way better and looks different simply because the fact that everyone moves on their own free will so to speak. Nobody is getting stuck in animations and that was the only thing i didnt like about the live series. Once again the move so fluidly and smooth with out getting sucked into each other. Players move more robotic on 2k then elite. Movement on 2k is not as smooth and fluid at all. The only thing i give 2k over elite is better detailed graphics and game modes but i have to see how legendary mode turns out. But those things does not make a game better then another. To me gameplay is the biggest factor.

One thing the elite did not change and is disappointing to me is the crowd and arena atmosphere. When the knicks would score you would hear clapping and cheers but nobody in the stands where clapping. But thats one of those things you notice only when watching the game and not playing it. But having then stand and cheer like on 2k is noticeable. I wish elite would implicate that in the future because i know that probably priority #99 with everything else that elite will bring to the table. It can really get you into a game with the crowd going crazy when you are playing good and you are the home team. And maybe with teams like the 76ers have empty seats because in real life their arena is empty on a constant basis
Thanks for writing.
I was about to write something similar but yours is better so I quote instead! Hope you donīt mind.

Sad that people com here hoping for Elite to be canned!
Same people that hate Madden for being the only NFL game!!!

Please try to understand that Elite is taking another path compared to the other game.
Most of us can afford to games so we want 2 good games and even better; 2 games with different approach.

Pros:
I get the feeling that you have great control.
Shooting looks to be very rewarding.

2K looks fantastic, but it will have to be much better on the sticks IMO for me to get 2K again.

As bad as the players look in Elite 11, if the gameplay and the control and feel is there, I'm getting Elite.

However, it's dumb to pay full price if no one is going to buy the game. I'll have to wait until a month after it's release for it to drop.

Amazon has a $10 gift card with purchase, but a $20 gift card would make me jump.

2k11 controls have not changed much. All of the crossover moves are basically the same. And i said after looking at the video the moves seem much more fluid.

Are you kidding me. Jennings did a crossover ever time he touched the ball. A crossover is whenever you switch ball hands and change direction. It dont have to be a ankle breaking move or a between the leg or behind the back move to be a crossover.

Re: NBA Elite 11 OS Exclusive Video: Milwaukee Bucks @ New York Knicks

One thing I liked about the video after watching it again (keepin P-dub's RTP post in mind) is that every player is a physical presence.

When the players are running plays if you watch the off ball guys you'll see that every time they run into or come in contact with another player they react. They don't run past them as if their not there and same thing goes for picks.

If you're player runs into a pick he reacts accordingly, no getting sucked into a pick setting canimation. It also goes for offensive players too so if the players run into one another they react.

Its obviously a really small and subtle thing but definitely cool to see nonetheless. Will make guys like Rip Hamilton threats if the offense is constantly running him through screens.

And sense speed is playing a factor from what I'm seeing you may actually have to pay attention to shooters like that this year.
