I can't remember the last time I had expectations this high for a sports game.

Re: NBA 2K11 Developer Insights: The Sticks

I want to know if a developer can explain something to me. In the Passing Insight, it was said that right stick passing is done by holding the right shoulder button in conjuction with the right stick for passing. By right shoulder button, is that the RB button or the R-Trigger? If it's the R-Trigger, how are dunks now performed? Does the Turbo still exist? Can u distinguish between dunks and layups now?

Thanks in advance.

The shoulder button is indeed the RB/R1 button. It's the button used to bring up the icons. Instead of pressing the icon to pass you can flick the right stick in their direction. I believe dunks are still performed by holding the turbo modifier and pressing the shoot button with a bit of momentum toward the basket. Layups will work without the turbo modifier. Of course, some players are unable to dunk so you will have to settle with a layup. There's also other layup moves that involve the turbo modifier I believe.

For sure, I'll have to practice a lot in order to get it right. And if the defense is as tight as they say it is, you must be able to master every weapon you have.

If I die before October 5th, can someone send a copy of this game to my wife so that my ghost can play it? LOL

One of the most promising things I saw in the video was the Rondo driving on Nash sequence. While he may be half a step behind, Nash is actually moving his feet properly and staying in front of Rondo, without any suction or sliding.

Being able to force a player to pick up their dribble will be huge. Last year people would just force the ball under the basket with anyone, bigs or guards, because they rarely picked up the dribble.
