I might be wrong but didn't one of the earlier NBA 2K's you could adjust the length of the shorts in the edit player option?

Probably because that's the best they could get it. I'm sure this is not an easy thing to pull off and make look ultra-real.

i think you could have do that in 2k10

I have 2 questions for someone from 2K (hopefully they're still around) regarding generic players:

1) Can we edit those players (name, look, attributes etc.) instead of creating new players and replacing them?

2) If we change their names to the real names (or create the missing players with real names), will the announcers/PA say those names?

I'm not bashing anyone who's complaining about socks or headband positioning or calf sleeves, I literally laugh. Do any of you remember NBA Live 95? Bulls vs Blazers? No one cared about where a sock was or arm band.It was the closest thing we had to replicating what we saw on the court at the time.

Most people associate authenticity with what we see on the court such as accessories and sneakers etc. Authenticity (this is my opinion and you are more than welcome to disagree) should be dedicated to gameplay STRICTLY.
Post moves, cuts,curls, catch and shoot,defensive help etc.,the list goes on and on, that's what I'd complain about.
Last night, I downloaded the NBA 2k7 demo and played for 5 minutes, turned it off and jumped onto 2k10 man was the flow of the game drastic.

Of course there were can-imations a plenty and control was an issue but overall the fluidity of 2k10 was above and beyond its' predecessor.Those are the improvements that need to be addressed yearly.

As technology advances and developers are afforded the ability to add things, deeper gameplay should be a focus...not someone's headband logo being positioned incorrectly.Just sayin'.

Getting back to the subject though, Detlef Schrempf looks spot on and I'm excited to relive many of MJ's 'moments'. XI's,XI's,XI's,XI's.....'nuff said.

Seeing this pic makes me think that 2K can get in those half calf sleeves without the missing sock glitch.
