Oh and the blurb about having animations and controls KUDOS!!

It had to be possible, I just didnt believe it to be any other way.

Pretty much what i've seen and heard has surpassed my expectation and has given me that 2k7 feeling all over again

...and if IF IF, the AI is as presented, then I can finally lay down Inside Drive.
This.

I never believed that more control means the animations have to suffer as a result.

My anticipation for this game is through the roof.

Re: NBA 2K11 Developer Insights: The Sticks

It shows how far ahead of the game they are this year when this time last year we barely got screeen shots (2K vets know what I mean). It just boggles my mind that they have put in all of this in year's time and are able to show off so much. I just hope for two things: The servers are legit and the defense has been tuned to the point where it's almost overpowering (I said almost).

I want to play online games (crew in general) where both teams are shooting in the 40s or how about maybe in the 30s. I want to grab eight or (gasp) 10 rebounds. I want to be able to stop all the cheese (spin move, baseline, pumpfake, hopstep, hesitation dribble, etc.) with good solid defense and show these non-basketball playing video game exploiters what it is to play true 5-on-5.

I want to contain my excitement because I've been so hyped in years past. I just want to play the demo (as badly as I've ever wanted to). But this insight was insane. If this is all true (PLEASE TELL ME IT IS), then finally my friends and I will have the tools to beat the 7-5, 99-speed, stepback three-point shooting morons who populate many of the crew games.

Sorry for the rant but this latest insight has me thinking this finally could be the year.

Wow this is one sick blog by Mike Wang! I loved it because it also came in with a demo. I'm curious on how the defense pans out with these moves. With this much effort, I recommend it as GOTY! I just hope The Association has been upgraded as well.

The answer is Yes. Under Controller Settings you have the option for your Shot Stick command to be either Absolute or Camera Relative.

Camera Relative is what we've always had, where stick input takes into account your player's facing, movement, and camera angle. Absolute gives you a one-to-one command for up/down/left/right stick movement.

As an example, in Absolute Control, Up is always the Euro Layup and Down is always the Spin Layup - regardless of camera angle.
OH OH OH OH OH OH OH!!!!!

sorry yall i just came on myself to this quote

Loving what I'm hearing on the defensive side of the ball. Aggresive blocks (especially catch blocks), LT for defensive stance, manual hard fouls, and the new mid-collisions are whats doing to make me a best on-line.
