Lets put it this way, I am no casual gamer and there is a lot about RFA that I don't understand...and I'm sure I'm not the only hardcore guy in the same boat.

There are a lot more fruits besides just the typical apples and oranges, Fiddy.

I'm sure there are even casual EA gamers who understand the RFA rules better than a lot of the hardcore guys. Wanna know why??? Because they are serious NHL hockey fans.

Just because you are a serious NHL gamer doesn't mean you are also an expert on league rules. What about all those sim players around the world who don't even follow the NHL but play a sim style of hockey???

There are a lot of serious NHL fans who play these games for fun...casually...not to whine and complain about them or compare them to some other game.
hahahahahaha wow!!!

im talking about the causal cheesy gamer, who pics this up and plays and knows nothing about the NHL or hockey in general.

but thanks for the lecture professor. you totally missed what i was going for. you must have missed the word "cheesy" in what i said, good for you.

oh and im not a serious nhl gamer. i play for fun. swing and a miss again.

I'm glad NHL added the future draft pick option. I've wanted that for Madden for years.

Well Qb, it doesn't make me sleep any better at night.

Seriously though, it's great to hear there's even a bit more to find out. That's freaking awesome! And like OBG was saying...yeah, the RFA is quite a mystery to me too. I'm going to have to re-read the blog's explanation of RFA at least a few more times to half get it.

I've got a bad feeling I may run my "Wild" GM mode into financial ruin this year.

The more people that mention how important a custom season length is to them...hopefully we'll get it. I'm still hoping we get it this year.

For a person who hates simming, it's such a drag to have a great franchise mode you can only hope to get through 1 to maybe 2 seasons. Myself, I'm hoping to at least get a 41/82 option. Imo...the 41 game option works well. To me, it'd be great if you played your division rivals 4 times per season, and then the remaining teams once. 16+25=41.
I want this in the game. Same goes for the NBA games, 82 is way too many for me to get through.

Re: NHL 11 Blog: Restricted and Unrestricted Free Agency - It's in the Game!

If this was the big announcement then we already knew what the big announcement was because the fact that RFA's were going to be implemented was brought up a while ago. Maybe not the depth to which they would be implemented but the simple fact that they would be in the game was already known.

So maybe there's something else.

Also, Fiddy how about you take out the word cheesy and just say 'casual gamer'. Cheesy is just a slang synonym for worthless, inferior or cheap. As I'm sure nobody likes to be referred to as such. Use a little common sense when addressing such a diverse crowd of people such as casual gamers or anyone for that matter, thank you very much and you're welcome.

Heck I'd just like him to stop calling the game "TOTAL ARCADE" constantly when he knows that's not the case with proper sliders. Though I'm preeeety sure he's just looking for a reaction in the first place.
