Man I think the gameplay looks great and the announcing sounds real good. Looking forward to getting the game in october. Can't wait to play it.

I am a little disappointed in this video but I hold out hope that the Heat-Mavs videos are the later builds. It might also be the person playing, but the Heat (cpu) in the Gamescom build seemed to be more aware of bad passes and did something about them. This video's gamestyle looked more on normal level and not simulation. The others looked way more sim than this.

But like so many have said, until we get hands-on with it this is all just talk.

I just refuse to believe that 2K would be going backwards in development the Gamescom videos had better spacing, more fluid and varied animations (including several new passing and bad pass animations not present in the Denver at Orlando video) Player body types appeared more varied and realistic, and had a better flow to both offense and defense the only thing really wrong from the footage from Gamescom was the high off the glass lay ups (which Mike Wang confirmed has been fixed) and cosmetic innaccuracies with accessories i.e. LeBron's logo placement on his headband and the calf sleeve sock bug. But other than that it looked light years ahead of 2K10. This footage looks like a slightly improved 2K10. Which is why I am hoping the Gamescom build was newer because it was on the right track and that footage had me salivating to play that game. This new footage just looks inferior.

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: Denver at Orlando (8-24-10)

Some good, some bad.

First thoughts - run some plays Ronnie! Where's the sim attitude? Tough to tell much about spacing/drive-n-kick/mid-range improvements when the user doesn't call any plays. At least Melo got off a pair of J's without a rocket closeout though there were still a few instances where they still exist - though it's more of a challenge at least than a flying/leaping/superman closeout.

3:55 concerns me a lot, looks more like more brain dead teammates for help D/rotations. Vince strolls right down the lane for a back door dunk from the top of the key and no one on the Nuggs even budge to make an effort to rotate into the paint. K-Mart isn't tight enough on Shard for him not moving to make sense, Nene is locked into some animation with Duhwight. Just terrible man.

And it seems like once again the CPU rotations/D are on another level from the user. 5:22 is great rotation by the CPU. Smith gets his defender to bite on a pump fake, Duhwight comes up to challenge the elbow J and the weakside block defender slides into the paint. Solid stuff, now we just need the user to get that same level of help. And the result of the shot/rotation is realistic too, just Shard left in the paint to rebound against Nene and Martin and Martin comes up with the offensive board. Good stuff in all regards in this sequence.

I don't see any hint of the new passing stuff discussed in the blog, the passing looks exactly the same for the most part. A few instances of hitting a man in stride (the Vince dunk off the bat) but not enough. One or two new animations but by and large it looks the same. Any long pass is still right on the money. Where'd all the tipped passes go from the Germany vids?

One potentially amazing sequence for the CPU is at 4:30. I don't know if this was a set play or the CPU reacting to the user D in a CH2K8-esq fashion. Vince is coming off a baseline screen and fades to the corner instead of curling because Ronnie is going over the top of the screen instead of trailing. Brilliant, brilliant AI if that's a read-n-react from Vince.

ya this is the only problem I see in this vid, same annoying lines from clark. Hopefully NBA today will fix this.

I'm not sure what video everyone else is watching but this game is looking phenomenal. Animations are fluid, textures are crisp, and man this is the best presentation the NBA2k series has seen. Thank you ex-TNT guy.

Shock and awe! Player models looked like last years, so I'm thinking that was a rough build, especially since 2k11's player models in EasyEntertainment's videos were sleaker and more polished.

Still though, "If it's in the..... wait.....wait.....this is 2k Sports!
