I can't stress how much I wish silver members could download the demo already

I almost paid 8 bucks for a month gold subscription just so I could play the demo lol

Same here, but my internet connection is so unreliable it would probably take until the 7th to finish downloading.

I love it. Really nothing else to say. It feels better, plays better, looks better and NHL 10 was already very, very good. Day one purchase now for sure.

Cool! Just saw the CPU pull their goalie, but I hip checked Hall and broke out, only to see their goalie scramble back to his crease to stop the oncoming shot.

Also on the hip check, Hall was able to jump over it. He lost possession, but stayed on his feet. Same game, on a faceoff in my zone, CPU down 1 with 3 seconds left, they shot off the draw. Pretty impressed.

It's hard to say when would be a good time to go for a hip check.. For me i think i would try to attempt one when I'm skating backwards into my own zone and i have my opponent lined up along the boards, and he's trying to get by.. i think you should only perform hip checks when you're sure you can do them, otherwise i would hit the regular way in most other cases.

Yep, start angling the oncoming player towards the boards in the neutral zone and then go in for the kill once you've closed the gap.

Anyone else notice the goalies react really badly v. the "jump over downed players" deke? When you get close they go into butterfly and if you do it at the right time they react like its going to be a shot 5 hole or to the breadbasket.. and skips right over their shoulder.

Hopefully this is fixed in the final build. Otherwise, it's going to be overused online.
