in both instances it looked like an animation kicked in because there was a little contact and the player was attempting to exaggerate it to get the foul call.

I HATE how in 2k10 the cpu will do a pull up 15 footer from straight ahead and use the backboard. I HATE that with a passion. I hated the amount of straight ahead backboard shots period.

Well If It's on casual mode I doubt their gonna call a foul on that, let's be serious what casual gamer is going to want that?
