NHL 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

My second impression of the demo is that it is an A+. The physics are great. The A.I. is way better. The goalies seem the same though. They still kick out juicy rebounds on soft shots. I loved being knocked off balance just by bumping into a defender without being checked. I saw the CPU do a hard around from the neutral zone as part of a variety of dumps. The CPU being able to deke adds a whole new level to the offline game. I saw a highstick goal by the CPU disallowed. The sticklift and pinning is much more fluid now.

I just need to know one thing. If you play solid positional defense and cut off passing lanes will you actually be able to intercept or block passes? I don't think I can take watching pass after pass go right through a perfectly placed d-man again.

Yes, pass interception is much better.

Also, goalie need some tuning. I just scored to Zdeno Chara on a high dump in where the goalie just waved at the puck and the puck hit the crossbar and went in. I really wish I have the replay

Wow, they have just taken a great game and made it better. I am really loving the demo so far.

The new faceoffs and Physics make a noticable difference for sure.

It just "feels" like Hockey.

Really enjoy the UHL. And am kind of digging the "Blades of Steel" camera view, although it is hard to not use the Overhead view.

All-in-all, I am very excitied to play the real game.
