I don't think I have seen anyone upset about having options since they announced they would patch the old way back in.

In your last post you said you don't understand why people would complain about something if it is an option.

If people are debating about something that isn't an option to them, how is your point relevant?

Don't get me wrong, I don't play online. It doesn't matter to me at all...

But your last two posts pretty much contradict themselves...

the demo may have actually made me switch my mind on Madden. It also switched my mind on auto sprint and i actually change NCAA from auto sprint off to on and i'm enjoying it a lot more. But the gameplay itself made me think about getting Madden. I like Gameflow because i dont need to be bothered with the coaching aspect and i can just play. The strategy pad sucks but other than that i was impressed. Too bad they didnt improve on the franchise mode.

No. 1 less FREE patch. They can do as many as they want but the first 2 are free. At least that's what I believe it is.
SO if they do use up the "free" ones, it's still up to them to fix whats wrong regardless if they have to $ to patch it.

IMO

Re: Madden NFL 11 Blog: GameFlow and The Strategy Pad

I'd like to think my poll of people not buying the game due to the strategy pad played a small role in EA's decision to reverse their decision to only have the strategy pad as the pre-play option.

Either way, thank GOODNESS this will be fixed!! I am not kidding when I say I was seriously considering not buying Madden 11 this year.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Blog: GameFlow and The Strategy Pad

I'm fine with the decision to make it an option to use the old way. Should have done it that way to begin with.
I just hope they still decide at some point to make better play design, add a real play editor and/or a tiered typseof play calling system so people don't feel the need to design plays at the LOS. Granted there will always be those special people that will want to always have that ability but what are you going to do.

I would take this another step...tiered D play call, with coverage shifts, shade...but no D-hot routes.
