So are the progression problems that Chris mentioned in his write-up something that can/will be fixed in a patch?

It depends how they want to fix it. I'm not sure if they can up the ratings for all classes of recruits via tuners, so we might just see an uptick in progression. From Chris's thread it seems the big stat messing up a lot of the ratings is awareness, coupled with WR's only being able to run a straight line.

Everything sounds great but I do have one concern. I am a slider junkie and I have found one that I like ALOT. Now with this "tuner" stuff I have a feeling it will throw off my sliders and I will have to readjust everthing.

What I hope is, that the Tuner for the progression is on one file, while the tuner for the gameplay is on another. That way I can choose to DL the gameplay tuner if I want. Definately looking forward to the pregression tuner for sure, and if I have to tweak my sliders then so be it I guess.

I could be wrong but it doesn't sound like the stuff they're talking about tweaking this time out will affect the conventional sliders and gameplay much. The couple of things they mentioned sound like occasional annoyances rather than something we've been adjusting sliders for. Now I'd like to see tuners (or a patch, or whatever) that eases off the sticky man coverage, and THAT would require some slider adjustments afterward, but I doubt that this first tuner set will impact you much.

Apparently either by EA's choice or due to the game's functionality, any team who has uniforms that don't have last names on their jersey, the name does not show up underneath them during game play.

Weird they talked about patching the option glitch,but not the cpu kicking a field goal or extra point and it hitting one of the up rights and being caught by a defensive players gives the offense a fresh set of downs????That is something they've known about since day 2 of the game being released??????
