There's no generic players in the game. 2K has the license for all the players.

Not with Laimbeer and Mahorn in there, I can assure you he will not be body slamming anyone.

Mahorn was lost to the Timberwolves in the expansion draft after the 1989 Championship. He refused to play for the expansion Wolves and ended up on the Sixers and along with Barkley actually took part in a late game brawl at the Palace against Laimbeer and the Pistons. In fact, Isiah was ejected earlier in the game for fighting with Mahorn.

Still, the Pistons did get the best Rodman years. He was still a dominant rebounder with the Bulls, but he was a better overall defender with quick feet, more athleticism, and a better concept of team and commitment during all but the end of his Pistons years. He was loved in Detroit for being a real blue collar player.

The last I checked 2K mentioned they had all starters and many bench players and were trying to get all players but had not reached that point yet. I assumed there'd be at least a handful of end of bench guys they might not be able to snag. Has there been an update in this regard?

Brother Czar, playbooks is one thing, but have you seen the Bulls run the Triangle and mostly get Jordan the ball or is it completely random so we see Longely and Rodman getting the rock?

How accurate is the play system this year on the A.I. front?

I was playing the Lakers on 2k10 and obviously they don't have the real triangle "system" in but they had some real triangle action.

If they would work on that it would be great.

2k needs options on plays not one standard play to get one specific shot.

Mr JordanJr. they have the chains on me right now so I am unable to reply as soon as they are removed however I can definitely shed some more light on the area of playbooks.
