Eric Wood is rated a 47 because he broke his leg in 2 places on NOV 22nd. Injuries will knock a player down significantly.

I am pretty sure that the play now, is what the teams "should" be rated in real life, while the franchise is the actual average of the players ratings.

Impact blocking is the blockers ability to make a leveling impact block on an opposing defender.

I think we would need more help with the roster creation aspect for both the Madden and NCAA games. Well, Madden isn't too bad, but NCAA would be a HUGE project to create all the ratings as required in the game. We would need to figure out all the player calculations too. It's not even a sure bet we will launch one because of the shear size of the project. That type of database would be much larger than the one we have for Madden currently, and that has over 17000 players in it.

You got to trust me if your really looking to work on player ratings in NCAA football down the road/in the future not only me but I know about 2-3 other guys that can be really helpful to you.

These are guys like myself that has studied these ratings and had great success utilizing them in creating their own rosters.

Now of course it's not easy to rate 17000 players in College football but the goal would be to make the ratings more accurate than what EA releases every year right?

So naturally your not going to get every single guy rated correctly but I'm pretty sure if your serious about it me and few other guys can help you out do EA with their default ratings.......

The guy knows his shiiiit and me and him discuss ratings all time back forth although it's mostly dealing with our own idividual rosters.....but i think i'll knowledge of the ratings and how implement them to the individual players is something that could benefit you if you decide to do something like this as you've done for Madden Footabll.

The main issue I foresee with bringing new people on board is that we already have a system to rate players and it is very very different from what you guys have done according to the links you have provided. You guys have done some things that we do not do.

First of all, your core ratings are not universal from position to position. At FBG, we make sure that a QB who ran a 4.40 40 yard dash will have the same speed as a CB who ran a 4.40 40 yard dash. You guys have different ratings based on position, which was deemed as a big problem with some of the ratings.

Second, we have a system to rate the OVR for the NCAA players already in place that is compliant with how we rate our Madden players. Think about the NCAA ratings as simply a premature way to rate players that have not come into the NFL yet, but once upon graduation, can be simply moved to the Madden site.

Third, we already have a guy who is well-qualified for the NCAA aspect of the ratings...if he finds the time and he knows the system we use inside and out. You would have to learn how we do things at FBG that set us apart from the guys at EA.

So as you can see, it would be a bit more complicated in making a decision to bring you all aboard based on the issues that may arise.
