Re: NCAA Football 11 Review

I enjoyed reading this review, but will still wait until the OS community has a good roster file to download before buying, unless it goes on sale somewhere...

The new control options sound like they might take some getting used to, but once mastered could add a whole new dynamic to the gameplay.

I'm surprised dirty jerseys have been taken out, and I hate the lack of dreads and long hair. But above all, the thing I'd most like to see fixed is the commentary. Complete overhaul is necessary. I've heard of the new technology where the CPU can generate vocals of a celebrity or known announcer and then create commentary spontaneously instead of having thousands of recorded lines. I guess it would be the audio equivalent of the physics engines that don't do canned animations. Maybe EA is waiting for that technology to be finalized?

Still very excited to buy this even if I wait a few weeks, which will give me time to squeeze more games into my baseball franchise anyway

From what I have heard, no. At least nothing significant to make one more desirable over the other.

OS gave NCAA an 8.0 score last year, but I don't remember if it was Chris or not. Because 8.0 hardly seems like a "disaster", as it was claimed in this review. The only reason I remember that is OS is one of my favorite sites, and after playing NCAA 10 for a while last year I was like, "I can't believe those (lots of vulgar words here) at OS gave this an 8.0!!!"

That said, the feel and look of the demo is great, so I have high hopes for NCAA 11.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Review

Only a 9? I thought for sure it would be a 10, since the review said NCAA 10 was a failure and yet it got a 8 from OS.

1 point doesnt seam that much better to me. Is it really that much better?

I guess it got a better score then the show, so it must at least be better then that game.

So if NCAA received a 9, that means it is = to Madden 10 that received a 9?

And with Madden 11's upgrades, it has to be better then Madden 10, so therefore its going to be better then NCAA this year as well.(which got a 9 here as well)

Interesting findings, but something just isnt adding up here

Reading the review gives more insight than the score itself. The score is all but a number. The review will tell what's better. From what I've heard, this game is leaps and bounds better than 10.
And for the record, the guy who wrote the review for 11 said he thought 10 was a 6. That clear things up a bit for you?
