As far as the advertising end, as long as we're not getting in-game commercials like SteveOS mentioned in his blog, I'm not going to really care to be honest.

I'll have to check out the historical 1994 SF 49ers...

Merton Hanks' swagger?
Spoiler
I'm actually all for this.
Now don't get me wrong there are other more important things, IMO, that need worked on also:
Dreads ( )
A new passing system
A new engine alltogether

However anything that adds some life and less robbotic features I'm all for. Again, like I stated before, this needs to be enhanced and improved and not just another 1 year and done feature....

Re: Madden NFL 11 "Swagger" Rating Explained (MyMaddenPad)

At first i thought it was very annoying that it was a sponsored rating. Now i'm starting to think that it being sponsored allows it to be put in the game. Of course this is only my thinking but something like a showboat rating usually seems to be the type of thing which gets passed of as not allowed to do cause NFL says so. But it being called swagger and sponsored seems to have got it in the game.

In general i don't like the advertising unless its in game and on things like a halftime show like Doritos Half time show or this Half time show is bought to you by Dodge or something along those lines.

However if advertising and game features being sponsored were to make the game cheaper that would be great However i don't think that'll ever happen.

One last thing. I think sponsoring worked well in the World Cup game. The World Cup scenario mode is sponsored by Coca Cola and has online updates.

If sponsors bring those little extra things to the game i may change my mind on it.

I like sawg over nothing like it at all, but I would have preffered custom camera's, custom soundtracks, and custom celebrations. I have to agree that while its probably a plus to have in the game, you have to wonder why they didnt just give us custom celebrations, which really cant be beat as a "celebration" type feature.

Probably just those not worth having as members in the first place.

There needs to be a thread started about this because I really want to know why this would be difficult. Custom options just seems like a logical thing to do, IMO. A poster in another thread from May stated that "The Show" had custom crowd noise and this was my response;

I wish you had never mentioned this.I have never played The Show and could of stayed blissful ignorant to this feature. Now that you have enlightened me,that concept sounds brilliant and simple.

I have alot of optimism about Madden 11 but the main thing I dont get about Madden/EA is the lack of custom features.Like the specific stadium songs, crowd chants and QB snap voices. Why not make that user customizable. With todays technolgy,it wouldn't be hard to add in your own .wav or mp3 file.

Think how cool it would be to download real NFL player and coach audio from actual game footage and user customize it for Madden. That could be used for on-field chatter, sideline banter and halftime/post game interviews. The possibilities are endless!

Wish I never read this post, now my mind will be racing with ideas! LOL
