Statistical analysis for O-Linemen are lacking (yet there are stats there to be captured) so it makes it increasingly hard to gauge an O-Linemen's performance w/o having watched him. I can vouch for Peters on the grounds of having watched him. Realizing that his sacks allwd total from '09 is more/less a product of McNabb's indecisiveness on at least 50% of those allwd.

Lets just look w/in the division. Premiere pass rusher Demarcus Ware did not register a sack against Philly at all in '09. Neither did Orakpo or Justin Tuck. Osi had 2 and Andre Carter had 2 against the Eagles in '09, but I'm unsure if those came against Andrews or Peters.

Peterson is nowhere near the other top backs in the league in terms of carries per fumble over his career and is even worse off when you figure in receptions as well as he is not nearly as involved in the passing game as most of the backs there. Really, his 49 carries and receptions per fumble are pretty terrible compared to the rest of the top of the league.

Facemask happened before the change of possession. And who is to say had he not been taken down by his facemaks, he wouldn't of been able to recover his own fumble. I am in the mindset that the facemask caused him to inadvertanly kick the ball to the Cardinals player.

You do realize the Cardinals would have gotten the ball back even if Rodgers or a Packer recovered so in that regard it really doesn't matter.

I know that doesn't mean a automatic win for the Cards but, they were back up pretty far and would of been backed up even more with the negative yards and wouldn't had to drive to far for a easy field goal or TD.

It's a total rip that Andre Johnson is unquestionably the best WR in the league, and Colston is barely a top 10 WR.

Just check out this stat comparison:

Andre Johnson: 171 targets, 101 receptions, 1,569, 15.5 YPC, 9 TD's

Marques Colston: 106 targets, 70 receptions, 1,074, 15.3 YPC, 9 TD's

They're #s are virtually identical proportionately, with Colston having a higher slightly % of catches per targetings. And Colston still has the same # of TDs.

It's not Colston's fault the Saints offense isn't so dependent on one WR.

Really a shame. But that's okay. At least Colston also has Johnson beat on one stat that matters: Super Bowl rings.

And I'll be the first to say he puts more catches on the ground than I'd like.

Nothing against Johnson, btw. Just a lil miffed how he gets so much praise and Colston gets overlooked by almost everyone but people in Saints Nation, opposing defensive coordinators, and John Gruden.

They do the same **** for 4-3 DE's just because they get high sacks and a lot of tackles, when in reality 3-4 DE is a much tougher position to play.

I am a DIE HARD steelers fan, but you are completely right. revis is a notch below. and he's only had one good year, albeit an amazing one. and revis is from pitt, so i like him.

I don't know about Revis being a notch below... he had a ridiculously amazing year last season despite QBs continuously testing him... and only 1 good year? He had a great 2008, and had a very good rookie campaign in '07. The guy hasn't had a bad year yet, or even a 'just average' year.

Now, Nnamdi is a great CB, and definitely top 2 or 3 at his position, but he had a bit of an 'off year' last season (by his standards). Nnamdi was thrown at 28 times and allowed 21 completions for 246 yards and a TD, while collecting 1 INT and 4 pass deflections. As always, teams didn't throw at him much, but last year when they did they found some success...

Revis, on the other hand, was thrown at 111 times last season, allowed only 41 catches for 425 yards and 2 TD and collected 6 INTs with 23 pass deflections. Teams constantly threw his way, and constantly paid the price. Revis' numbers weren't that much worse in '08, either (thrown at 84 times and allowed 49 catches for only 510 yards and 2 TDs and collected 5 INTs and 8 PDs.)

Now being a WVU fan, I hate the Pitt Panthers, and I wish Revis would start sucking because I wanted him to fall to the Steelers in the draft soo bad, and it makes me sick thinking about how he could've helped our team last season. But despite that, I've got to admit that he is the top CB in the league right now.
