I wanna like this game but I am just not feeling it. It's still early so hopefully as more is released my feelings will change. Another concern of mine is will big men have handles like a PG? Seems like we have been down this road before. PEACE!!!!

I know the game is nowhere near finished but, if that's any evidence of their gameplay on Elite11. My money's on 2K once more.

In a perfect world there should be a way to defend every offensive action with a defensive action that is equally difficult to perform as the offensive action. And this includes strategic choices as well as twitch actions you perform with the stick.

That is the design philosophy that I follow. If you think there is an exploit in the final product come on the boards and find out if there is a defense for it. If there isn't then you are well within your rights as online players to complain about it.
That's not all of it. The checks that I mentioned in my post have nothing to do with defense. In real life D. Rose is a great ball handler but doesn't spin all over the court doing crazy stuff for more reasons than just the D is there. Again, like one poster mentioned somethings will cause you to lose the ball, even him, some will cause you to lose you orientation, it's better if you simply ask what would happen if I did this in real life. Some things like back to back spin moves could/would cause you to lose track of where you are on the court, crossing over back and forth too fast actually defeats the purpose because it doesn't give the defender opportunity to bite on one of them and it actually makes you kinda not go anywhere so maybe if the moves were strung together too quickly you'd lose forward speed. I'd have to go out and try it but I don't think you can do some of that stuff and move forward at a fast enough pace to get around anyone. Point is there needs to be a reason not to do the stuff beyond the defense. There's a reason guys don't run around poor on ball defenders like Nash doing all kinds of crazy stuff and it certainly isn't because his defense is so good. Also guys don't do all kinds of strung together moves in the open floor because it's faster to just dribble straight to the basket if there are no obstructions so again there's the possibility of a speed penalty.

You have a great point, I really like your view on this.

I understand it's early but not seeing any new animations or physics at all there.

Driving, the guy gets stopped by the invisible wall around the defender and defending, the guy is sliding all over the place.

Live 10 with more control at this point in time.

What the duece ???????????

Granted it was on the Wii so I am not expecting uber graphics, but all that ice skating was just blah. Looked like they were playing on fast forward.
