What is 2K thinking.
Don't get things twisted, I'm not an Live/Elite guy, I'm 2K. I just happen to see over there and they had info on the new Elite and I was suprised about how much in contact they are over there with the programmers. But I'm not talking about Elite because this is a 2K forum. But how is it that us asking for videos too much? Every year we never get a video and then when the game comes out we find all the problems and then start asking for patches. Don't you understand that if we don't catch it before the demo, asking for patches isn't gonna get resolved fast enough. And then we'll be sitting here 3 months at a time waiting for patches.

I just wanted to know why it was so bad to ask for atleast a video of something so that we know what we are getting. Yeah we know that the format isn't gonna change. But you also know that even though the format isn't gonna change the product gets worst. I'm hoping that 2K gets better. I'm not gonna dog 2K because I know what potential they have but it's not getting executed. You can't just do things on the fly and ignore the peoples demands. When we talk about certain glitches that are effecting the game, we want a video to prove that they atleast fixed it. Or else we'll be sitting here talking about the same glitches and same problems that the previous years had.

Your previous post was much more condescending, and would NEVER be received positively by anyone on VC's team. This one states your case in a much more reasonable fashion.

Everyone would love for them to be more open with their design decisions early in the process, but its clear that isn't how they do business. They trust their own methodology and until they are knocked out of the top spot its unlikely that they are going to change.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Seems like both titles are going with a more "user-friendly" control scheme this year. I'm just hopeful that they take alot of skill and practice to master, while being easy to pick-up and play.

Not trying to pile on, but any sports title is going to need a patch post-release regardless of developer interaction. Just look a Madden '10 and all of its pre-release interaction, yet the game still needed to be patched and they also couldn't include some of the promised features (allegedly).
