It was a simple question. Not trying to be a d***. I just check these forums when I get off work. Just planning on starting my franchise when they release v4.

These guys don't owe you ****. So what if they said a week ago? A week ago the stamina problems were not brought up and after they were, the roster editors chose to delay the release of V4 to further test this problem in hopes of getting it fixed. Not saying that the guy had no right to ask the question, but you're wrong if you think people can now justifiably 'start to get ******'.

when people "check the forums" don't you guys check at least a few posts beforehand to see if your questions have already been answered? Jasnake, do you need anything from me? I didnt do too many stances/motions but I can send them to you if you want em. Also, did you touch base with Hustlin to see his availability to do the FRANCHISE file for v4 (or v4.1 or whatever its called now hehe)

Quick advice for everyone: when there is no new topic there is no new roster.

And the new roster is not a right, but a gift from the community. So treat the makers with a bit respect. I think they earned that with the work they've did so YOU can play the game the way it's supposed to be played.

I don't think people are being disrespectful, they are just excited and anxious for the great roster these guys are making. The roster was announced to be released early this week and it has missed that time frame, so it is natural for people to be curious.

i would love to see your edits... drop in w/ 4.1

release 4.0 first, and while 4.1 is being worked on with what 4.1 is supposed to get (pitcher stamina corrections) people may give feedback about various things after playtesting 4.0...

whomever is kind enough to append 4.0 after release, can also have this time to add fixes into the 4.1 release.

Here's what Jasnake once said in April that he will add to this yrs' Knight's rosters:
last yr, if i recall he only edited batters.. this yr i think he's editing both batters and pitchers so the set is balanced.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey all,
Sometime in December, myself and Thirddegree used Bahnzo's roster tools and applied re-rates to the majority of SCEA created players in the game (09-08-08).

Why? First, SCEA always has a tendency to "over"power players as well as give aging players a benefit of the doubt which their performance does not warrant. Sim numbers of uncontrolled teams in general were very unrealistic, players routinely hitting in the high 300's who never routinely did so, 60 homer seasons, obscene numbers of RBI's, pitchers numbers were terrible (CC with a 5 ERA almost being normal!). I sort of think it was done to make the in game experience more "gamer-friendly" (which this game is far from casual but everyone loves to hit homers in game myself included) but we want realism darn it LOL.

Instead of using the weighted method (an option in roster tools as well as how SCEA bases its system) which is a 3 year analysis which puts the onus on the last season, we calculated a true 3 year average (when applicable) of ratings. Again why? IMO (and others) what if a good player had an off year or was injured? His ratings would be severly affected due to this sometimes unfairly. 3 year averages put equal weight on each season which would "stabalize" the numbers in most cases. We also took into account players coming into their own (Aaron Hill is a prime example) and players in obvious decline (Ortiz) something that SCEA in their updates also was sort of shying away from.

In-game the feedback from that old set was positive but it wasnt broadly sampled as it was December when this was done and alot of poeple moved onto other games. A good number or doubles, triples, walks etc. A realistic number of homers. Things sort of settled out.

So we got Knights permission and we're preparing to add these to the full minors right after Razr gets his pitch edits in for those not interested in SCEA stock. A big question that I ask should I take this early part of the season into account or just base it off of 09-08-07? The best example is Vernon Wells whos last 3 years were less than desirable but is killing it now. The boosts will be in step with the rest of the ratings (you only rarely see a power rating in the 80's, think 50's and 60's believe me it works) but he for one would warrant a boost if anyone provides feedback to do such. Another big question is if thats what people want, who else should get obvious kick ups and downs that you could think of (someone mentioned Prado in another thread)?

Any feedback?
------------------------------------------------------------------------

and lastly..............

4.1 should get a re-edit of pitcher (starters only I believe) stamina ratings to stop some starters from tiring out completely (zero energy after like 80-90 pitches according to some people). last yrs rosters the staminas were also edited (they needed to be as right out of box, the starters could pitch over 100 pitches and still have something like half? their energy bar) and after editing they were very realistic after 100 pitches. this yr, on v3 the tweak didnt seem spot on to those of us pointing it out the past week, so v4.1 will revisit this attribute.
