To be fair though, I think all the criticism I've read so far is completely valid and constructive. 90% of the reaction so far has been positive and we're thrilled with that, but I'm just as happy to hear the critique.

The part that makes me happy is the things people have pointed out are things we're working on. No surprises is a good thing

I'm not going to try and argue that the players didn't lack momentum or that there wasn't a little foot sliding or that some of the moves may appear easy to pull off. Those are all valid concerns.

I don't think we'll fix everything (no game is ever perfect) but we're working hard to fix as much as we can that has been out.

Some things will be a trade off between look at feel. As a video game developer that is by far one of the hardest things to balance.

All I want is for you guys to try the demo for yourselves when it comes out. You only get half the picture by watching a video. Feel is just as important as look and you won't be able to appreciate the tradeoffs we've made until you've felt it and seen it.

And all the positive reaction has given me another boost of energy. Another late night for me!
Ok cool. 3 questions!!!
1.When will the demo come out and will the 360 version come out b4 the ps3 version

2. Are post moves revamped this year?

3. I saw something i didnt like in another video, when lebron went to the hole, durant just slid backwards to let him drive for the layup... WITHOUT MOVING HIS FEET!! Wth. It'll be more realistic if durant took two steps back in a defensive stance and get pushed to the side by lebron's strength/force.

My main concern is what this new scheme means for some of the major pluses in Live 10.

Most notably Freestyle Passing and the offball player control.

Freestyle Passing was too good to be in one year and out the next.

The Offball control felt equally as good. It was a pleasure making those little cuts or movements into space to get your shooters open.

I'm pretty sure the devs can't talk about any of this stuff right now, as it's all about player control now. I'm just saying they could be onto something special if they can get it all together.

It should be noted, I do get hyped pretty easily.
No, just no it was a good idea but the passes were too succesful

We are not getting rid of freestyle passing, but I don't want to talk too much about it in detail right now because some of the details might still change (probably not, but discussion are being had).

I've probably said too much already...but since you're easily hyped it was too tempting to pass up

Yeah true, but with the new physics coming into play that could fix that issue.

The part I liked about it was the intuitiveness of it, but I suppose it is subjective.

1. I don't know the answer to this one.

2. Yes, a lot of work is going into the post moves and the controls are being revamped to match with the rest of the game. I think some of it was demoed by Connor in the video.

3. Do you have a link to the video? It's hard to speak to it based only on the description. I believe you, but things get fixed and changed so quickly here that without seeing it myself I can't say for sure if we've addressed it or not.

Thanks. Good to know.

At best it's in, at worst it's still on the table. That is good enough for me at this point.

Best of luck with the game.

Re: 7 Minute NBA Elite Video (Gamespot)

The controls look very intuitive and easy to pick up, once I again I gotta say I'm excited to get my hands on this game.

It looks like the game is goin to be even deeper then last year, hopefully both the defensive controls and offensive ones can be evenly matched.

If they are we should be in for a great basketball year with both EA and 2K attempting to eliminate canned animations and addin control.
