I'm pretty sure slipping happened in 10, because I'm pretty sure I remember overthrowing a receiver who slipped right as the pass got to him. I think they turned up the frequency of it happening though, it seemed really uncommon in 10.

Don't know but i would use player lock if the camera wouldn't swing around. I hate that. Wish they would add an option to keep it the same.

It was in both 09 and 10

The animation is awesome one of the best in the games

I'd just to say how much I LOVE running the ball in this demo. Holy crap. The blocking AI may not be perfect 100% of the time, but it works most of the time, and it's a very satisfying feeling to be able to use your blockers and pick up yardage.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

after getting more of a chance to play now that it is the weekend I have noticed a couple things that stand out....

the good:
  • I saw....I really saw a defender in coverage turn his head to look for the ball after the receiver turned his head. Whether or not it affects the game or not.... I have tosay it is about time.
  • I pitch the ball to my HB and the cpu DE was out there waiting and a corner was rolling up.... I stopped to change direction (using only the L stick) and noticed the fact that either the ACC rating or the REAX ratiing do seem to mean something as it literally froze the DE for a split second as opposed to him being suctioned to me and making the tackle. He didnt go into the slip-n-fall animation....he just couldnt go the other direction quick enough.
The odd *(not really bad...just odd
  • should the "play of the game" really be a TD by the losing team? Sure, it may have been the longest play but as the winning team you surely must have had at least a mediocre play....you surely must have scored
  • maybe just my imagination but has anyone else noticed that if you hold the ball for a while with the QB.... a holding penalty is called fairly frequently? If this is the case (and on purpose) it is nice.
  • if a guy just made a great play....why is he also cheering for himself on the sideline? not new, I know...and awfully nitpicky but if I am picking out things like this...... that means the truly important things are clicking....nice

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

HOLY CRAP!!!!! I actually blocked a punt for a safety.
I was playing as Ohio State, and had sacked Harris on the 1 yard line, setting up the punt. I had called "return middle" (as I can't remember the last time I got a block) and lo and behold, a guy bust through the line and blocked the kick..I was so ecstatic I can't even remember WHO it was.

I'm sure sliders will correct this, (at least I hope)...but the deep ball IS way to effective,Pryor had TD passes of 69 and 72 yards...The Buckeyes won 37-17

I know it's only 2 instances, but against man coverage my receivers both had 2-3 good steps on the corner, and these weren't any kind of out and up's,they were both fly patterns.

After thinking about it some,I did use the pump fake,I'm just thinking out loud here, but maybe that would have some impact on the outcome?
But then again....if the db's back is to the qb,he wouldn't see it in the first place....aw hell nevermind
