Re: Backbreaker Demo Available, Post Your Impressions Here

now, while INTs still happen in the final release game.......it is not as much for me because I play the best teams...imo, that makes a difference...

this is where NM messed up on their Demo....making it only 2QTRs....so if by chance someone plays against a BB team that has a low focused QB...it will bring up horrible results because in a 2min game, the CPU will try to throw alot more than it should....when it should be a balanced team or more run orientated team.....

so I don't know if you have tried.....but try playing against Indianapolis on medium or hard....it should yield better results, but still in a 2min game the CPU QB acts wonky.....well at least more wonky than the final released game....

in the full game, I play against the best teams when facing the CPU and usually get pretty tough games....i can't f around, and if I blitz and don't get there....CPU does a good job of popping me for a big gain....but that is just with the really good teams....the ones that are average to bad, will get embarrassed if you put constant pressure on them.

I did just that and definitely noticed a difference. I was Charleston, I think, against Indy and got lit up by its QB in the demo. I then swapped teams and Charleston really struggled to move the ball against my D, while I was much more effective on offense.

It's unplayable for me. My first game the CPU threw an INT on every possession, got sacked 2 times a drive and missed wide open WRs. Every time I get a handoff or a pitch, my runner goes backward or sideways when I am pushing up on the stick, I feel I have no control of him. The tackles are cool in the replay but you can't see them live because of the camera angle, I couldn't see anything live really.
This is how the reviewers felt (and gave it a 5). This is how most of us felt the first couple of games... until you learn how to run and how to pass and how to select one defensive player and hold the focus button (you will see all the action).

Take some time to learn the game and it is very impressive and fun.

Thumbs up Re: Backbreaker Demo Available, Post Your Impressions Here

Big ups to 505 putting the game out. This is a great game. I want to pay enough games before I did a review. This game is truly something special. When you make a play it acually feels like your making it. I made a big hit on defense, and it actually felt like i made the play. This game is nothing like Madden, and should not be compared to it. These are different games, 2 different experiences. Backbreaker I feel is more for a person who loves football, not for a casual fan. If you are not ready to fail a few times you play then I would not play this game if I were you.

Running the ball is very fun weather you pop a 70 yarder, or runaround backwards for a loss you never know the outcome, Even when you are in a bind in the backfield, It always seems u have a chance to make a play for a big game. Defense is really hard to get used to but when you make your 1st big user play, It feels amazing. I watch my replay over and over knowing that I made that hit. It feels special.

Also I like EVERYTHING is repected. You can not run into anything with out it being notice Even when players get knocked down, there bodies still matters. Its amazing ro see when After a play player tripping over each other. I'm happy with the game even with lack of modes, This game is still great.. I think its worth the buy. I give it a 8.5-10 Great replay ability

This game make you focus the entire game. Every decision counts. Every big play counts. Every mistake....Counts. Stay conservative early and then....BOOM make a play.

Re: Backbreaker Demo Available, Post Your Impressions Here

After finally playing the demo on PS3, I can say that I'm surprised this game got as much hype as it did. I can't see this game making it more than 2 years. There's no reason for a person to play this game, especially with the other titles on the market. I'll give it a 6 out of 10.
