I would add Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament 2 for PS2 as well. I like Mario Tennis for GBC a LOT better than the N64 version. The career mode is still one of the best in any tennis game made. Wii Tennis also deserves mention.

Wish console developers could put it all together to make a solid tennis game with at least 20-30 of the top players and a full fleshed out career mode. TS3 was on the right track, and I still play it to this day. As a huge tennis fan, it's a disappointment that tennis seems to be going the way of gimmicks and motion control instead of good old control.
