The game is awesome! The team at EA did a great job this year. The locomotion is just awesome. The cut scenes are great. Everything about this game I like so far. The ESPN overlays and presentation are great as well.

There is some lag at some point during the play calling and stuff but its okay, I'm sure it will be worked out before the game comes out.

Both times I've played OSU, Pryor has gone robo-QB all over me. I think I'm officially going to play with a heavy adjusted sliders Varsity or All American setting in the full retail version. I just can't take the robo QB.

Just like to say i may of been wrong about the blocking being broken on tosses & sweeps...at least nowhere near as bad as madden 10...just ran about 5 toss plays from i-form and on everyone the fb blocked correctly... It was beautiful

Well I just turned 34 in May and have found myself sometimes doing the same thing I used to make fun of my dad for doing years ago, which is having to look at my controller from time to time while playing to make sure I hit the right button. My how times have changed.

Back to the game though.......EA appears to be taking a step in the right direction with presentation, but aside from the passing game, the game still feels like the same old engine we've been seeing for years on PS3 with just a few tweaks here and there. I'm still unable to run sweeps and tosses with any success and blockers still run by defenders they should be hitting. Hopefully on the retail version I'll be able to slow things down a bit and appreciate the game more, but as of right now I just don't feel like this game is going to meet my expectations once again. I'm still waiting for the "WOW" factor that I had the first time that I played an NCAA game for the PS2 after upgrading from a PS1. So far I've yet to experience that with any PS3 NCAA Football game.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

some demo impressions:

GOOD
-locomotion is better than i thought...actually a whole lot better

-graphics are nice with the new lighting

-every team will be a new challenge due to locomotion/accel/spd in diff positions on the field and u WILL have to be aware of who is who and where they are

-no more FS/SS covering the whole middle and deep field

-no more CB/LB's backpedaling 30yds as fast as WR's so actual realistic seperation will occur when right matchup occurs

-deep ball is back, and realistic...and the cpu will def use it on u as well

-less superhuman db leaps to knock down passes 8 yds away

-cpu will attack you short and deep. clemson whooped me on my first go around in that matchup 21-7. threw a nice 40yd td on me

-no huddle by cpu is also nice and can be challenging

-tackling animations are cleaner and look better

-in air collisions are WAY better than the old "get hit and flipped on ur neck" of old...saw 3 diff ones so far

-catch debug tool mustve been very useful cuz catch animations no longer hamper me by playing a stupid one at the wrong/inappropriate times. also seem to hit ppl in stride WAY more or in a way that they dont have to leave their feet and slow to a stop all the time

-arc on the balls thrown seems better and gets over the db's appropriately and i finally feel i can lob a fade in the endzone and let the best man go up and get it

-sideline catches....man how beautiful u are and how ive missed ya!!

BAD
-playcalling screen...i actually have a love/hate. i do hate how u only see 1 at a time unless u bluff. but i do like how u can be in the plays level and still scroll thru all formations without having to back out and then re-enter ur new formations plays. its like one scrolling playbook

-need more wr/db interactions and handfighting when their bumping each other downfield. becuz of this it makes it where they bump and stop ur WR enough that u feel a penalty for interference should be called...but in EA fashion, it never does. maybe this can be fixed with sliders if they actually work this yr?!?

-i like protak honestly, but its almost like theyve scaled it back just a lil too much IMO. maybe in a full game where im not airing it out as much ill begin to see it a lil more

CONCLUSION
coming from a guy like me who was only looking for madden to be my purchase for 11 as i thought ncaa10 was so unsalvageable that 11 would still be terrible, this is gonna be a first day purchase for me as well as alot of other OSers. a nice double step in the right direction. add all this gameplay candy with the proven and even slightly improved online/offline dynasty that is sure to keep u busy and thoroughly entertained, and we have a clear winner. already thinking what teams i wanna run some dynasties with, cuz jus like 09, there will easily be 4-5 at the same time for me

The replays stutter badly on the PS3 though opposed to the 360. And the lag when play calling is something to get used too.

Otherwise I'm gaining faith in the PS3-Version.
The problem is the final version will probably screw us over. You could change last years demo to 1080 as well, but when they retail game came out it would only go 720
