Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

I have to go with a leap of faith and work with the assumption that something this catastrophic would never make it into the final build...

I called a PA read option. My QB went into his animation where he puts the ball into the HB's belly. Since it was a PA, the RB faked and then ran his route. The other 21 guys on the field all did what they were supposed to do, but my QB stayed stuck in his "put the ball in the HB's belly" for 5 or 6 seconds until I was finally sacked.

Nothing I tried was able to break the animation.

The play you are referring to is not new. I know in NCAA 10, it was in South Carolina's playbook on the last page of Ace-Big(it was in 09 too for SC), and Wyoming's playbook as Shotgun-Monster. I think in NCAA 10 it was in Missouri's then as well.

Wow, I thought it was fantastic. Million times better than last year's demo.

Finally won some games on heisman and I'm really starting to enjoy the game. Skating is not an issue in my first few games I thought exactly the same thing, but the more I play the more I see that players are not skating, but actually running with proper weight for the first time ever. I still don't like the playcall screen, but to counter it I'm just sticking to the basic play call method which I'm liking because for some reason it feels more realistic to only have a few plays to choose from and I'm not getting stuck in bad formations or with plays I don't want. I am beyond pumped for release day now this year will be epic.

So I've enjoyed the PS3 demo more than the 360. So far I've actually had occasional stat overlays as to where in the 360 demo I didn't have a single one. Also the 'Play of the Game' is actually a big play rather than on the 360 where it was just the last play (or a relatively meaningless play).

Don't know if it was just coincidence or not though.

And I'm loving players having weight. You can't just zigzag around anymore, that alone adds a lot to the game for me.
