Odd thing happened to me. To end the game I made a tackle, which made my controller vibrate. The weird thing is it wouldn't stop even after I turned off the vibration in the guide settings. It was still vibrating all the way to the main menu of the demo which was weird.

I don't know if its just me but the 360 version feels different then then PS3 version. Noticed lots of bugs in both versions though. I got NCAA 10 on PS3 but I have to go with 360 this year. Feels way better to me for some reason. Anyway hopefully they get these bugs fixed and polish the game up before the 13th of July. Definitely feels improved and can't wait to play the full game on the 13th.

My thoughts exactly, one complaint though, time for a new kicking system. To many other EA games use the right stick very well time for football to get on board.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

Played several games and watched the OL/DL interaction very closely. There is no consistent pass rush from the line, pressure almost always comes from a blitzer. Especially if you run the spread and the CPU only rushes 2 (which happens alot), you will literally have all day to throw. Even with four DL rushing (with no blitzers) you can usually count on having at least 5 seconds to throw in the pocket, while putting in a little effort by scrambling around can easily yield 8-10 seconds.

The CPU QB will sit back in the pocket, pace left & right and when he finally gets close to a blocked defender he throws it up. In replays this will give you the impression he was under pressure but not really - because in most cases he could've easily avoided the defender by scrambling. I tried AA and Heisman and didn't see much difference. If anything, on Heisman CPU rushers were a bit better while my DL was even more pathetic. The bottom line is that the DL is just a tool to take up a body so you can squeek in a Linebacker. I'm really dissapointed this is still such a weak area of the game.

Other thoughts...

+ Presentation - I liked the improvements in this area, it really elevates the game and is nice to see some excitement going on around you.

+ The "Fog of War" aspect. Saw a good mix of play results in a short amount of time. Point after attempts hitting the crossbar, fumbles, interceptions, some good messy goal-line plays, some killer defensive plays such as a DL elbowing my QB in the head before he went into a slide. I also like how my QB tried to escape sacks and fight to stay alive while I was testing the DL issue.

+ Player models - hey a DL actually looks like a DL and a WR looks like a WR. Good job.

+ CPU QB threw long on several occasions.

- Kicking meter: I was able to max the power meter almost every time.

- Playcalling menu - horrible. For example I'm on my 20 yard line and it's time to punt, so I pick special teams then click the 'A' button to start the play. But wait, why am I in field goal formation? Because there aren't default plays chosen for you - even in obvious situations! I hope they will go to Madden 11's new system which I hear is supposed to work great.

- Alot of jerky/choppy gameplay which gives off a robotic feel to the game.

- CPU snapped the ball too quickly on many plays. I barely had time to review the defensive play art.

- One thing I always seem to be able to do with ease in NCAA is get big plays when I'm losing bad. In my first game I was down 17-0. After the kickoff the first play I ran was a pass to my 3rd WR and he scampered for an 80 yard TD. I was mainly just looking at the OL/DL interactions and wasn't even trying

Overall it's ok, but I just can't take this game serious until the line play improves. 5 OL vs 4 DL - that's 41% of the players on the field. If 41% of the action is broken then sorry but that's a problem.

Wow. They improved soo many things. Things that I loved.

Saw a successful toe drag animation.

The recievers made over the shoulder catches at the appropriate time looking back for the ball.

Less suction when pro tack occured.

Lighting.

Locomotion gives the players weight.

The db's didnt do that stupid piggy back animation they actually played the ball.

No wide recievers were flipped.

Still not sure if I'm guaranteed to buy it yet. Think I might rent 1st day just to play it safe. I'm still bitter about getting burned HARD on NCAA 09.

This one is definitely miles upon miles better than any next-gen NCAA though.

I've had this happen playing other games. Not in the NCAA demo though.
