this game is going to be good only two things i know thats going to bother me
the cutscenes are going to get old quick just like madden 10 and the lack of gang tackles
i caught a pass in the middle of the field and the defenders came to make the play i broke the first tackle the other two players just fell down fo no reason at all and i scored a td and i was mad because i know i should have been tackled on a good note protak looked real good i guess they need to have protak happen more instead of have players just fall down if someone is already in a tackle or break tackle animation

The game speed seems to be way too high for my liking. It flows nicely at this speed, so I'm hoping when I adjust it when I have the retail version it won't take away from that. I'm sure I could get used to it but it seems so fast that it's almost a nuisance. Maybe I'm just sleepy. Otherwise, the players move well. No weird skips in the running motion. Passing seems really easy but I only tried it out on Varsity so that will change when I turn it up and maybe with slight slider modification. They still haven't fixed the holding/clipping on the kickoff though! Maybe not quite as many, but I've only played four times. Last year and the year before after playing hundreds upon hundreds of games I was seeing like one in every three games where there would be at least one holding or clipping on kickoffs. Penalty sliders always need tweaking though so that's no big deal. Anybody had offensive pass interference on a Bubbe Screen play where the defensive back came back and played press coverage on him? While it did showcase the WR/DB interaction, I thought it was a goofy call. I need to play this again when I have some sleep though. Really thinking the game speed is too high, even though my reaction time is probably slower than usual. NHL had the same problem. People have been wondering about the ratings and it is much better. On Mizzou there is a perfect example. Speed receivers with like 90-95 speed, but 80 acceleration. Possession receiver has like the opposite. Remember not all speed receivers are gonna have low acceleration, some are better than others and also have a great first step.

I'm really feeling the Playaction Screens (to wideouts). Slick.

Also....end arounds are in the game! Nice.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

My first impressions....

Miami at Ohio State

I controlled Miami for the first game and had a blast! I scored on the second possession thanks to a big read option play in which my HB ran it 30 yards. Jacory was a very good passer (probably the best out of all the QBs I've played with so far), but when I needed to he was pretty fast to get out of the pocket and extend the play.

This was on All-American, and I was up 7-0 with 40 seconds to play, trying to waste time. Ohio State somehow strips the ball from my half-back, and they pick it up for a 70 yard return. Ridiculous! Then I try and get into field goal range, and am picked off at the 40. The Ohio State kicker misses a 48 yarder and the game goes to OT (Always awesome to get more time during the demo!).

In OT, I shut them down, and their kicker missed another 45 yarder. Then, I had a good 15 yard draw play (Draw plays are great this year), and then called a PA rollout. Harris rolled out, and was being chased by a D-Lineman. Harris threw the pass somewhat off-balanced, and the wideout caught the ball and got hammered by 2 defenders yet hung on to it, for a 13-7 win.

OSU-MIA impressions: Locomotion was great, and I loved following the blocks! Best blocking in a EA game I've played yet! Pass rush was weak for my team, and it allowed Pryor to escape the pocket a lot. Also, I loved the presentation during my TD. They showed 5 replays of the game winning catch, and the crowd was rocking before the catch, and was absolutely silent except for a few Miami fans. Overall, very good.

Missouri at Clemson

It was raining, and you could feel the affects (a little too much). Clemson's QB fumbled the ball 3 times, and we picked it up twice. For anybody, Does Clemson's QB run a lot? Because he sure did during the demo. Anyway, this one was on Heisman, and Clemson's defense was killing me. I threw an INT in the end zone, and Clemson eventually scored off a pass. Up 7-0, I had one last chance to win. With 16 seconds left on the 30 yard line, I threw it 15 yards. I quickly hurried up and got it off with 2 seconds left, and had to throw a fade to the corner with no time left. The Clemson corner swatted it down, and the crowd immediately went into a frenzy. Pretty awesome crowd reaction there.

MIZ-CLEM impressions: Heisman is a very good challenge for me atleast. Love the entrances, gets me pumped too play. Rain affected the game a lot, which is nice, but it was a little too much. We will have to bump up catching, as players drop a little bit too much.

Florida at Florida State

I was Florida State on Heisman, and I got dominated. Lost 28-0. Ouch. Ponder threw 3 INT's, and the 1st play of Florida on offense was a 60 yard run up the middle. Their HB was just up the gut and gone. Pretty good example of speed taking time to get to full speed, as it took the HB about 30 yards until he was absolutely at top speed.

On one play on offense, I was hit as I threw it, and the DE picked off my throw and scored. Nice to see in NCAA 11 now.

FLA-FLST Impressions: Florida is good! There are a lot of interceptions, which I will have to tone down on my sliders, but there were some bad reads, and one in which I pressed the wrong button when I had a player wide open in the endzone and instead threw into double coverage. Also, the deep ball is tough, atleast for me.

Texas vs. Oklahoma

Another on Heisman, and I think I will stick to All-American. Oklahoma beat me down 21-0. I threw another 2 INTs, but they were some great catches by the defense. I love playing with the spread and was moving the ball well but had a lot of turnovers.

TEX-OKLA impressions: The Red River Rivalry just looked beautiful. The fans were split in half in burgundy and burnt orange. Also, Oklahoma's D was swarming.

Overall, very very impressed with NCAA 11. The graphics, locomotion, presentation, college atmosphere, and offensive styles were great additions.
